Pastel/Ghost/Pastel Ghost???I don't know! :(

Hi Everyone!! I'm hoping that ya'll can help me out here with some identifying. I'm partically color blind (which trust me SUCKS!!!!!!:mad:) and cannot see the difference in blushing on these.. I had two clutches hatch over the weekend. The first is from a Normal 50% het Ghost to a male Pastel 100% het Ghost; the second is Pastel 66% Het Ghost female to Male Pastel 100% het ghost.

I know that these are not all normals. Unfortunately, I cannot tell the difference between the pastels, if I have any pastel ghosts, or if I got lucky and have a super pastel ghost or a super pastel. Can anyone help?? :( Oh and if someone can see what type of ghost they are (Bell is what I am thinking as my pastels are Bell's) I would appreciate that too! Thank you!!

Hmmmm, I'm not an expert for the less obvious pastels...but I'm not seeing pastel. It looks like a lighter normal. If it is a less bright pastel (which I'm not seeing green eyes, is the belly clear?) I'm definitely not seeing hypo.

Definitely not normals... the normals in the group are darker, and I can see the pattern mutation on them. They do have the clear bellies as well. I wish I could see!! :(

All normals from what I see, no pastels, no ghost and no pastel ghost :confused:

In the first group shot, there is one that might be a pastel. The other pictures are just bright colored normals.

Remember normals come in a HUGE range of colors from light to dark. There are definitely no ghosts and no pastel ghosts there at all.

Ok let me rephrase the statement..

I know that in that picture, 3 of the 5 are normals. There are two that I am questioning- which are the two that I have held in my hand in the other pictures.

I think we are all talking about the ones you are holding in the other two pictures....they definitely look like very light colored normals...

They are just plain ol common ghosts/hypo. that includes orange, yellow, butterscotch, gray, and some lines of green.

But I don't see any hypos im sorry. To me in the group picture it looks like you have the 1 pastel (im assuming the 2nd single?) wait til they shed and retake pictures. The single picture of it makes me have doubts though.

Thanks :) That is what I was thinking too. I have to take better pictures of them because I don't think what I have right now does them justice. Most of them look like the picture I posted separately and what really makes me wonder is the ones I am questioning have WHITE heads. So very strange...

I agree, that one is definitely a better picture and looks like a dark pastel.

I know that the pastel adults we bred are Bells so they are not as bright as Grazies; they have more of the speckling too.

This is the male with another one of our females (not the female of this clutch). I do not have a good one of the female on my phone so I will have to get one of her later tonight; however, she looks EXACTLY like the male..

The third picture (on the very first post) is DEFINITELY a pastel.

For sure 1 pastel, possibly two.

Remember that until they shed they appear very different. But still no ghost/hypo at all.

The breeder male is very nice.

Thanks Gale! He's a little brat though. Very opinionated about his hide and substrate. He is the only one that absolutely hates the craft paper switched to and only likes paper towels; his hide has to be set a certain way too. so funny how they have such distinct personalities :)

1st pic is a Normal possible het ghost

2nd pic is 1 Pastel possible het ghost in the top middle of the picture and all the rest are Normal possible het ghost

3rd pic is another Pastel possible het ghost
