Myrtle Beach Reptle Expo - July 23 & 24

Who's going? I'm really quite excited about this show.

I've said for the past few years - "someone needs to put on a show at Myrtle Beach", simply because SC is so herp friendly, and FL is starting to become less so.

If this show succeeds, I won't be doing Daytona any more (as much as I love going to the Daytona Beach area).

In fact, I haven't gone to Daytona in the last few years, because I was already seeing vendors pulling out and the mood changing. It just seems to be dying a slow death - at least from where I sit.

With that said - Karl and I are counting down the days!

We're staying at LaQuinta adjacent to Broadway at the Beach. I wish we had more time to make it a longer weekend and explore some. When I grew up, my family took our summer vacations in Myrtle Beach, so it holds special memories for me.

Hope to see some of you guys there - check out the vendor list - it's gonna be HUGE!

I would be going except our wedding is the following weekend, but I think I seen dates for a fall show in sept and will def be there

CIDER will be vending the show !!!! and we have quite a line up in store!

I plan on attending Saturday. Glad there's a big show within 2 hours of me. :)

I was going to go but then stuff came up and now I'm moving and can't afford the $ it'd cost to attend the show.

I would love to go but not sure if we will be able to. I love Myrtle Beach. That's were I got married and that's where I held my first Ball Python :)

Two weeks from today, Karl and I will be driving up to Mytle Beach after he gets off work. We want to get there and be able to "play" on Friday, as I plan to be at the show all day on Saturday!!

Ill be there. Can not wait. Sc laws are great. I think thats the only reason we have not moved lol.

We're here! We heard a commercial for the show last night on the way back from dinner - really well done, really hyped up the FIRST Myrtle Beach Reptile expo, a great family fun event. I was pleased with the efforts behind that.

For comparisons to Daytona, at least the night life. We went to the Sheraton with a friend staying there, and we couldn't find the folks hanging out. Though, with the auction after the show tonight with Limey and Brian Barcyzk, there might be an after party - we'll see.

We've got our VIP passes, have had breakfast and are heading over in about 20 minutes, and plan to be there for the whole day. You really won't have to even leave for lunch, lots of concession kiosks, and an actual sort of food court between the convention center and the hotel.

I'll report back later this evening.

Are they gonna have another on this year? I wanted to go to this one so bad but couldn't talk hubby into it.

I had a pretty good time today. I did some volunteering for USARK, saw some familiar faces, and met some great new ones. But there is something that has been perplexing me for the last few hours. My whole reason for going to the show was to pick up some supplies. I even made a list. So, could someone please explain to me how I managed to come away with a new boa, and absolutely NO supplies. :rofl:

Post up a pic!! What kind did you get? I've picked up two new male bp's so far tomorrow the search is on for 2-3 females. Today I got pastel male 1200g double het Axanthic/ghost

I got a 2011 Hypo Hogg Island boa. He's just a tiny little guy. Good luck on finding some females. I didn't have much time to browse, but from what I did see, it looked like a pretty good selection of BP's.

I believe it's from Cider Reptiles. It was one of the donations to the fund raising auction.

Oh awesome! That's my friends business and that's their snake. im down here helping them out with the show haha

i got some pictures.. not a lot but a few. and some with capt chuck from venom one haha he bought a boa from ppl i was working with.. really nice guy
