    New Toy Hopefully!!
Local Gun shop had this on display labeled NFS. Well everything for sale. And I talked him into selling it and shall see how everything goes once we get a price figured out.

Is that airbrushed or water image transfer? Badass either way.

All airbrushed, not one round has gone through it since painted. Which will be hard to not shoot it if the guy comes with a decent price.

I know hes going to want close to 5-6k for it.

The guns are mildly expensive. The SCOPES are expensive.

Not expecting him to drop price much considering New Stock Bushmaster 50 cal is around 4500 as it is. Custom paint would increase i a bit as well.

Would this be your first 50 cal. Rich? Ever fired one before? It sure is one pretty impressive rifle. IT's like shooting bullets the size of banana's out of a cannon, basically. :)

The leupold for my 7mm-08 was over three grand! and thats with connections to a gunsmithing shop. Though...the shotgun my dad keeps asking for is about 8 grand so maybe I won't complain!

8 grand for a shottie is pushing it. You can purchase the Fully Auto AA12 for about 6grand if your permitted to owning full automatics.

How would the paint hold up under heat? I'm curious because you can't have that bad boy and not shoot it!

I grew up working in a gun shop and the only thing we didn't make where shotties. I think thats why he wants it so bad. That and the owner of the shop bought one and now he has to have it too. I'd grummble here about men and toys but I can be as bad:D

That is a beautiful paint job and an amazing gun if u buy it please bring it to AZ and we will go gun crazy haha im not even 21 and i have 3 hand guns picked out to purchase haha but 50-100 rounds through that thing in one sitting and u wont have a shoulder!

as far as the paint goes if it is a Acrylic Enamel without Catalyst the heat will only make the paint harden more as it gets hotter. Acrylic Enamel without Catalyst is recommended for painting engine blocks and engine bays due to its ability to stand up to heat

But what about the shock and recoil going through that thing. Can the paint crack?

I currently own 4 hand guns. S&W Sw9ve, taurus pt111, taurus pt 145, Sig sauer p220. Most of my rifles and shotties were handed down.

Supposedly the new Bushmasters have been redesigned to have less recoil.

Yup. I always spend at least as much on a scope as I do the gun. I'm a fan of Bushnell Elite 4200 scopes. Excellent bang for the buck and they have a great glass. Crystal clear! When I can afford them I've had good luck with Swarovski as well. My dad on the other hand will spend over a grand on a really nice Sako or Weatherby and throw a cheap Simmons or Tasco on it. He wonders why he goes through so many scopes and has trouble focusing.

I can't help but think of the amount of money they just moved through that (or time doing their own loads). Its a monster!

My dad just picked up one of the Swarovski. Not sure which one. He has big plans his next couple days off for it:)

Most for my guns are for hunting. Not too much in the line of making craters but nicer than the average collection.

If i do end up able to buy this I may chance the scope if i decide to shoot it. If not im not going to put 5k into a scope for a display piece

i dont believe there would be an issue with the paint cracking as long as its taken care of its just like ur car except this is much more dangerous and BA but that dissasembly of the AA12 makes me want to do some airbrush work or something on the plastic pieces i didnt realize they just slip off like that i want one now idk wat id use it for since my home defense gun would be a Mossberg 500 20 Pistol Grip! cant wait to get one!

The best part of the AA12 is its manufactured to shoot in any condition and never needs cleaning.

With the laws now you had better make sure that your home defense comes with a backhoe. You can be beaten, robbed, and sued because they stubbed a toe on your table.

Break into my house and threaten my life, its my word against your dead ones in court. Defense classes with guns, and CCW classes teach you shoot to kill, not wound them so they can sue you later.

Yeah but where I live you have to drag them in the house first. Doesn't seem to matter if its your shop or garden.

I didn't mean it quite like that. I was refering to normal rifles, most of which do not go over a grand. If I spent $500 on a new rifle, I would spend at least $500 on a new scope. No need to spend $5k (although I'm sure they make them that expensive) on a scope for a rifle that isn't going to see much time at the range. Leupold makes some very nice tactical scopes that won't break the bank and can handle all sorts of abuse. :gj:

Might be state based or not as im not sure.

Here the police say this to us in classes. If you can say " In fear of my life" Then you were in the right to defend your life. Whether its in street, house, store where ever it might of been.

That begins to get messy when you start shooting someone half your size or opposite sex cause you were fearful. Judge wont feel the same when time comes.

Id much rather a true hot 118 than a 100oF with 100% humidity we get sometimes here in Michigan. Im sure other states can relate to this.
