    he DEF is a hisser but only when he is first taken out of hiding.. haha. i tried feeding him today but he refused. im thinking since i just got him this past saturday he probably wont eat till next week.

    i will post pics as soon as i can

    Welcome... Definitely read up here because this site is a wealth of knowledge...

    First things first though. If you brought him home on Saturday, you want to leave him alone in his tank for the first week without handling and without disturbing him so he can acclimate to the new surroundings. Really try to only go into the enclosure to change water, but leave him in the hide or wherever he might be when you do. After the first week, he should calm down and you can try feeding. If he refuses, repeat the same process... Once your new bp settles in and eats, allow 24-48 hours to digest, then you can start handling gradually, for a few minutes to begin with and increasing in duration as your snake tolerates it...
