Best software for tracking your pythons
Does anyone have any suggestions of computer software for tracking your python's activities/feeding etc.

I have been trying out Degei 4 but it constantly is locking up and causing me to restart my computer. :rage:

Just curious as to what others are using. Thanks in advance!!!!

I use iHerp.com for all my tracking and couldn't be happier with it.

I'm going to try Justin Kobylka's VYPER software. It's available for download on his website. http://www.jkobylkareptiles.com Also he has a video where he explains it on youtube. Hope this helps.

THere's also kintraks. It can be used for any animal, and you can add in any information sections that you need to. And it generate pedigrees. :)

It costs $10, but it gives you 2 codes, so you can split it with a friend and each pay $5

I've been using Degei Pro for the past 3 years and LOVE it!! No hiccups, excellent & fast support whenever I've had questions, just a great experience all around.

I've got the free Degi and it took me a couple of hours to get it to work on Windows 7. It helps if you read all the info before trying to make said program work then wonder why it's not working right. I had to download 2 extra things for it to work properly or it'd freeze up or not want to save.

I keep paper records and would like to switch to a software of some type but I need one that isn't online. I want to be able to access it without Internet service.

I'm also on paper records ... It's getting voluminous (up to three binders now just for snake records) and I'm planning on switching to electronic next year when I move.

I just downloaded the trial version of Vyper and fiddled with it for awhile ... So far I love it, so I'm leaning towards going with that one. I really like the way it's set up; very thorough. I like the interface as well. Everything seems very well integrated.

I'll have to look up Kintracks ... I'm gonna need a separate software database for chinchilla records. :P There's one out there, but it costs $65 and I don't think it's been updated since 1996 ..! :O
