Guilty Pleasures
What's your favorite "probably not good for you" snack? For me, it's peanut butter mixed with maple syrup and spread on toast - sooo good! :D
-
Re: Guilty Pleasures
Oh, and fried baloney sammiches, too!

Ham n cheese omelettes on toasted bread..i could eat them all day
and big fat cheeseburgers with bacon and extra bacon
and chocolate milk..even though im lactose intolerant

Potato chips and french onion dip, or m&m cookies ice cream sandwich.
-
Beer and thick, heavy chocolate/fudge items do it for me, but I don't like watching what I eat. I prefer to enjoy the hell out of food and just spend some time in the gym a few times a week to compensate.
For me one of the most enjoyable things in life is eating something delicious, and I'll be damned if my last act before I get hit by a bus or something is to decide not to have a cookie because my ass might get fat.

Wendy's fries dipped in a chocolate frosty! :O
Most people get grossed out when they see it, but MAN, it tastes good, and a little funnel-cake-esque!
Now drooling..

I do it too. Yum:)
-
Seriously? I've been doing that since I worked at Wendy's 14 years ago. I thought I was the only one :D
-
Pretty much anything with cheese. Nachos, cheese fries, cheese sticks, grilled cheese, etc... I'm trying to get back into a healthy way of eating so I'm not eating as much fried and cheesy stuff now.
-
!!! I'm a Wendy's addict!
Ever since I was a wee lass, my parents would stop at this pit stop with a Wendy's and I would get a Junior Bacon Cheeseburger, fries and a chocolate frosty.
I have only EVER ordered that from Wendy's, even to this day! I feel like I'd be cheating on my Junior Bacon cheeseburger if I ever ordered anything else. :P
-
LOOK at what you made me do! I'm sooo going to get a fat ass now :P

But my guilty pleasure would have to be My homemade fried chicken strips :D all ya need is season salt, flour, egg, garlic salt, uhh.... sea salt (hey it's healthy!), chicken, some sort of cooking oil... I feel as thought I'm missing something... *shrug* oh well
But Arby's curly fries make it right behind that... I'd probably die of happy if I had the both together...
-
Mine would be a large roast beef sandwich from arbys with cheddar sauce..an order of cheese sticks and a large milkshake to wash it all down with. Sometimes if I'm surfin the forums late at night I make a quick trip to the convenience store for some buttered pecan ice cream.
-
Peanut Butter mixed with Nutella Chocolate Spread, then put nice and thick on fresh white bread, or even some form of crispy cookie....and Beer of course!
I've been on a diet for a while now, lost about 13KG, wich is I think roughly 27lbs, but I normally follow it completely during the week, and then on weekend allow myself a bit of leeway, that way I don't get tired of it, lol!!
-
:-/ Im a spoilsport...my favorite snack is miso soup. Warm and salty and super filling. <3
-
What is with all yall freaks eating french fries and frosties? My wife and sister do that. Bleh! :weirdface
For me it would be anything deep fried and/or smothered in cheese. I'm a cheese snob. I can only eat the fancy, expensive stuff. No american cheese or velveeta for me, thank you. I'm loving all the Amish and Swiss owned cheese factories around here.

Re: Guilty Pleasures
A specialty born in my hood of South San Diego, I present to thee... Carne Asada Fries!
http://farm1.static.flickr.com/135/3...afb79d7f_z.jpg
:tongue2: :hungry: :tongue2:
French fries topped with slices of marinated skirt steak, onions, tomatoes, cilantro, guacamole, and cheese. Top it off with the amazing taco sauce they give you, and prepare to transport yourself to food heaven. If you ever find yourself in San Diego, drop by any of the numerous taco shops we have, and order yourself a gut-busting plate of Carne Asada Fries, the great purveyor of the Freshman Fifteen in our area!
-
Id have to say butter pecan or pecan praline ice cream, klondike bars but when im feeling real bad then i have to make a peanut butter banana honey sandwich with slice of bacon...better known as elvis presley breakfast sandwich
-
Re: Guilty Pleasures
Gourmet cheese. You will never catch me eating processed cheese! Pretty stuck up, I know.
-
Re: Guilty Pleasures
There's too many decisions...
Mint ice cream drumsticks are top on my list
-
Let's see, I could be here for a while....
Chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting and fresh strawberries on top (I can only eat the one I make though), hot cheetos with cream cheese, Tommy's Burgers, In-N-Out (2 double-double's animal style no tomato, fries, and a strawberry shake....I'm in heaven), Nutella (I just eat it with a spoon), fried mozzarella cheese sticks, bloomin onions, Moose Track's ice cream from Albertson's, most other ice creams, any type of sweet lemony treat, and now that I'm starving, I think I'll stop......I should probably weigh about 800 lbs.

I'm in Lakewood. I normally go to the Tommy's in Norwalk. Whenever I'm out in LA, I always go to the original one though. I think I know what I'll be doing tomorrow....:hungry:
I also have an in n out literally right up the street from me! Probably a 5 minute walk.

I think you should try Ice cream with Ice cream on top and an ice cream chaser...When i was in L.A., we used to have a pharmacy named Thriftys and they had some of the best ice cream for almost nothing...I always had a tripple scoop which consisted of Butter PEcan, Pecan Praline and the best Malted Milk Crunch ice cream:P

There's a Thrifty's ice cream at the Rite Aid by me!! Oh man. Best....ice cream....ever!! The mint chocolate chip one is my favorite from them though.

Oh man! Me too:gj: Home made from scratch, it takes forever but soooo worth it. Then you have to finish it off with Azuki ice cream. I really miss yokosuka. My friends mail my goodies every once in a while but you just can't get the same stuff here.
My younger sister's (24) favorite comfort splurge is to eat a slice of hawaiian pizza thats been dipped in Coke. She's done it since she was about six. Makes me gag every time. :P
-
I haven't had them in a long time, but turtle brownies are my weak spot. Also, I make a home-made cheesecake that's pretty baller.
-
Chio Chips "extra hot"
or any Marzipan stuff
sigh, if I was still living in Germany I'd look like a blimp...
-
I'm a displaced New Yorker and I really miss good pizza. There just aren't any places in Texas that have pizza that can compare.
-
Re: Guilty Pleasures
In N Out with out a doubt, I dont care what anyone says I could live off of it.
-
Domino's chocolate lava cake :bow::bow::bow:

You DEFINITELY should combine that then! Make a turtle brownie cheesecake!
I know I have a recipe for it somewhere. You could probably find one online though.

Another favourite of mine, and a tradition in Durban, is the famous Bunny Chow...Now, this has nothing to do with the long eared rodent often fed to Boas and Pythons...This is something much better!!
You start off with a loaf of very fresh, un-sliced, white bread. Preferable with a crispy crust. Next, you need a nice spicy curry, chicken, beef, mutton, any one of those will do. Cut yourself a 1/4 loaf, or even a 1/2 loaf is you're hungry, and then hollow it out! You need to take the bread, out of the crust, but you also need to make sure that the walls of your bread "container" are not too thin, or it'll burst open. Then, you take the curry, and put it inside the bread!! The bread that you hollowed out, should have come out as one big lump of bread, practice makes perfect!! This lump of bread is there to mop up the sauce, and then you eat the curry, and tear off the bread crust as you go along, so that by the time you finish it, you'll have no curry or bread left.
Curry is super popular here, because 150 years ago, the owners of the sugar cane plantations brought Indian workers out here to cut the cane and harvest it. With them came the Indian Mynah bird, that has now taken over, lol, Mango trees, that did the same, and curry, that is now enjoyed by all Durbanites. In fact, the curry we get here is now known as Durban Curry, and is available at all good corner food shops, cafe's, and small indian restaurants, and in all those places you'll be able to buy a Bunny Chow!!!
-
http://i1083.photobucket.com/albums/.../bunnychow.jpg
The bunny chow!! The carrots on the side are actually pickled with chilli and onion, for some extra niceness, known as Sambals!!! This on is flat on the bottom, since it's from the middle of the loaf, but I like to use the ends of a loaf, so that the end crust of the bread is at the bottom!!
