im at one..and it was my fault.I never dangled a mouse by hand ever again:)..didn't really hurt but the suprise was enough to teach me a lesson
i was bitten by a water snake while fishing before but i dont count that

I got tagged twice.. All my fault.. never reach for you snake when You smell like rodent... and be careful making close up pictures :rofl::rofl:
-
I've been bit way more times by my geckos then my pythons but it's happend.
-
Never been tagged by any of my balls and only once by a cranky rtb hatching.
sent from my EVO
-
I've been bitten once (well, one and a half times really) but that was from my Nicaraguan boa. I've never been bitten by my ball pythons. :)
-
Been bitten 3 times.
Worst was a RTB, that one hurt. Then there was a Carpet Python and a Baby GTP. Those weren't that bad, hardly felt the Baby GTP bite.
Never been bitten by a BP !
-
My new boa struck at me twice the day I got him at the show, but I know he was just stressed from all the commotion and move. I haven't actually been bit by any snakes... yet... :D
-
I've had 2 real connecting defensive bites, 1 stupid feeding mistake bite and 1 bite that was more of a scratch, all from my BPs.
I've been struck at more times than I can count though. :P
-
I can, so long as I start on a Monday and stop on a Sunday. Then it requires me to start a new count the following week.

Re: can you count the # of times you have been bitten?
in over 20 years i have been bitten less than ten times by non dangerous animals. but then again i only kept hots for half that time so getting bitten really wasn't an option.

Don't know the exact number, but in 25 years of keeping snakes (since I was 5 years old), I would estimate I've been bitten around 15 times, total. And that's probably a liberal estimate. Don't know why, getting bitten just isn't something that happens to me. I know the last time was by a baby Brazilian Rainbow Boa and that was like 7 years ago already. Ha!

i have been bitten...
0 times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:D

bites....lol..
well i feal lucky neither my bp or geckos or salmander never bitten me before only my boston terrier bugsy does when we play fight!!
-
Nope but I've been constricted twice (both times it was my hand) :P. The worst bite I've ever gotten was from a ferret. :rolleye2:
-
In 12 years...once by a BP ( missed the rat) and twice by a redtail...and countless times by various non venomous species out in the field.

0 times! I don't have as many snakes as most of you, though.

More times then I can remember. LOL

Nope, too many times to count. Mostly amazon tree boas and wild caught snakes. Never by a ball python, though.
-
so many times I lost count.
-
never by any reptile, twice by pacman frogs, once from a dog, and multiple times a day from my cat :P
-
1 time in 17 years of owning ball pythons.
It was entirely my fault. Just a stupid feeding mistake.
Most of the time I never even get struck at. They're comfortable with me. And I read them.
I actually got one (it was thrown in with a package deal) somewhat recently. The guy said every chance she gets, she'll bite so to prepare myself to get bit a LOT. Well, I got her and she's a sweetheart with me. She's never even struck. Shoot, she's never even done that "S coil" towards me (unless she's going to eat).
-
Too many to count . I have been bitten by garters, kings, gophers, corns, RTB, balls, burms, GTP, many wild caughts, an iguanna, black throat moniter, spectical and dwarf caimen, The iguanna left the worst scar. Now that I cath the wild caughts the way Steve Irwin does I dont get bit by them any more. I have never feared it so even when they are pissy I will still grab them when I need too and some times they grab back.

Re: can you count the # of times you have been bitten?
Wow, lots of bites! :D I myself have been bitten once by my first Ball, I no longer have him (not because he bit me.), once by one of my Tokay Geckos, and a few times by my female Panther Chameleon. So, only once by a snake. :) I will never put a snake in it's feeding box (on a non feeding night) while cleaning out tanks, lol!
-
Probably around a dozen times. Usually my own fault. I have a few that have tagged just because they've learned that opening the tub usually means its feeding time. I'm only guessing at the number though, I don't really keep a record. Lol
-
Re: can you count the # of times you have been bitten?
Never had a bite from a ball python, have been bitten by carpet pythons, red tail boas and almost every garter snake I've ever held.
-
Re: can you count the # of times you have been bitten?
Over a dozen times, but mainly by 3 female snakes with the worst attitudes. One is mr Cinnamon Ball, and the other 2 are Caulkers (they are nippier than balls when young). They all are great feeders (especially the Caulkers). Now the Cinny is an adult, and doesn't bite much, but still shows attitude. Not really a great pet. one of the Caulkers is a semi-adult and has lost her attitude, and the other one still has her attitude and is well over 1000 grams.

Luckily, none and I've had snakes off and on for 15 years. I had a boa constrictor who struck at my face one time (NOT her fault, she was sick and in pain) and one of the ball pythons I have now has "huffed" at me, but no actual bites yet. And I say "yet" because I know it's coming. My son just got a 2 month old baby bp and my other son will be getting his new baby bp soon, so a bite is going to happen. I know it's not going to hurt, but it sure will scare me!
