how often do you feed your BP?
my snakes eat every 5 to 6 days

Depends...
When they are babies I feed more often, around every 3 to 4 days, if they take it !
As they get older, they slow down some. Then they get food every 5 to 7 days. The adults, usually every 7 to 9 days or so.
I never feed during a shed cycle and I also like to judge by the snake, instead of strictly by a calendar or day of the week. You can tell when they are hungry or want more !
:)

Re: how often do you feed your BP?
i feed my girl every 10 days cuz she wont eat every 7 anymore but she's very actively hungry before 14 days so in the middle of that is good for her.
i dont feed during shed either.
i'm not really going by the calendar either cuz sometimes i'm just not able to get to the store to buy the rat right on day 10 but i do try.

I feed every 5 for anything under 300g, then every 7 for 300g-500g. Anything over 500 g I feed every 10.

Re: how often do you feed your BP?
Under 350..every 5 days. Once they reach 350 grams they are fed every 7 days.

I try to once every 7 days. If there's something going on on the day that I have a scheduled feeding, or am away, I just feed him the next day. He's eating right now. This is the first time I've ever fed him during the day!
He took it right away, and I just dropped it in. He must have been a hungry boy, since he just shed too!
(All this is in reference to my ball python).
:)
Oh, also the small rats that were once big enough for him are not anymore (I got 15 at a reptile show sometime). I have 4 more after this one, so I think I'm just going to truck through these ones and get him medium rats next time. Any thoughts on this? Should I just get him the medium rats now and feed him those at his next feeding? The small rats aren't WAY too small, but he's fatter than they are.

It's really depends on individual animal.. size of that animal size of prey and "schools of Feeding".
As of now I have only 2 BP's 1050g Female .. She Eats 55-60g rat every week now but she just wake up from long fast so I deliberately feed her smaller meals upgrading her up every 2 weeks...
She gonna finish up on 80-90g rat every week.. because i plan breed her in fall...
My 1200g male get 60-70g rat every two weeks...
Yes I know that some of You will say that is not enough.. but he looks good and he progressively gaining weight from 808g in April 2010 till 1200g weighted empty 2 days ago.. so i dont see reason to feed him more often..
I probably will bump him to every 10 days feeding schedule at the end of summer before breeding season to let him store little bit more energy.
With babies before I was feeding: up to 350g is every 5 days, 350-700 every 7days.. after that females stay on every 7 days schedule males goes on every 10 days ... after male reach 1000g i switch it to every 14 day schedule bumping it to every 10 before "breeding season"
But as i said.... that's my way and everyone have different opinion on that subject.
Edit: I feed live so a notch smaller prey in my case give me more mental comfort

Most of ours are on a 7 day schedule, but we have a few youngsters that take smaller meals every 3 days. We tried the 5 day schedule initially but it just got to be too much to try to remember when feeding day was when combined with all of the other crap that you have to remember to do.

I usually feed my girl every friday, or every once in awhile on saturday. i just picked up a baby pastel sunday, idk when he last ate but today he seemed really really active so i figured he might be hungry, i fed him and he calmed down. but i try for every friday/sat.

Depends on the sex, depends on the time of the year and depends on the age
Holdbacks are fed every 4 to 5 days up until they reach 500 grams
Animals over 500 grams are fed every 7 days or every 5 days
Males who get prey items no larger than 55 grams (regardless of their size) are fed every 7 days year round.
Females are fed every 7 days most of the year and get on an heavier schedule (every 5 days) starting in late September early October.

It's really up to you, it has worked with my animals. I simply try to feed the girls more while they still eat to put on some extra weight on them before they start to fast. It might work for you, all you have to do is try and see.
There are many ways to do things the best to do what works with your collection :gj:

Every Wednesday!
They are offered prey and records are kept if they eat.
Some of them dont eat every single week, but some dont miss a feeding :)
-
my younger bps tend to go every 5-7 days and the older or bigger bps tend to go 7-10...only since they get bigger feeders then the babies do i guess they get full and dont want to even think about striking....the younger ones tend to eat like little pigs.

Small one hatchlings to about 300g I feed every 3-4 days. And I can tell they want it. My female spider is today day four and she is out of her cave looking straight at me and demanding food. Guess what I will be doing tonight... :)
Bigger than that I try every 5-7 days. I have one stubbornly eats on the 7th day no matter what. Bigger about 700g+ every 7 days. I only have one this size and the rats I ordered online (frozen) are a bit small for her so I have been offering one every 4-5 days. No problem. She's enjoying this. I should post a pic she hit one on the side of her feeding box. Here it is, mind you this is rat number two. Apparently she's hungry :)http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...th/photo61.jpg

I feed them when they're hungry.
I have two females who were eating every 4-5 days. I stepped them up to the next size of rat, and now they're going 6-7. I can pretty much tell by their attitude when I open the tub whether or not they're wanting fed or not.
I have another one who eats only every 10-12 days. I go by how she acts and feed her when she is interested.
I have one who eats about once a week. That is how often I feed her.
I only have four, so it's not a bother feeding on different days. But I have a feeling that once I get a bunch of them that everybody's going on some sort of a schedule.

I feed every Sunday. Makes it easy for me to remember, and since I feed live, it's the most convenient day for me to go to the store to get feeders...
-
5-7 days between feeding. Like zina said, not during their shed.
