My back yard 2011 (wild herps everywhere)

I live on a large 40 acre parcel of mixed habitats, I have overgrown meadow lands, wetlands, a creek and forest, so wildlife is abundant providing many photo opportunities... enjoy.

This one was "rescued" from a neighbor who is afraid of snakes, all it wanted to do was bask on the porch stairs..

Look close, there is 2 garter snakes together in this pic.. hard to imagine they are both the same exact species, the variability of Thamnophis Sirtalis is amazing.

maaan all i find here is arizona whiptails,and bark scorpions.

Thanks, that's why I almost never leave, a couple times a week to pick things up from town, but that's about it.

This spirited little guy did not like his picture taken one bit, I got tagged a couple times taking these shots.

Nice. :D I found a shed in my backyard and I always see tons of Mediterranean House Geckos, but no snake yet. I think I'll try the pond and lake near my house.
