    I just found Bella!
I just found my missing BP! I've been hiding in my bedroom with my dog and my cat since she went missing hoping she would venture out to one of the heat pads I setup. I've been terrified to sit on my couch, use my oven or even run my washer, afraid I was going to hurt her in some way.

I found her under my kitchen sink. I went to go get a drink and decided to leave the lights off and do a check, then I thought I heard something coming from under the sink (I keep plastic bags under there, not sure why, just something I've always done). I almost missed her, she got herself stuck in a rat/mouse trap, the sticky kind. Half her face was stuck to the damn thing, I forgot it was under there, it's been there since I moved in. My first thought was she's dead but she moved when I touched her. I almost paniced and ran here for help on getting her unstuck, until I remembered reading about someone setting these traps to catch a corn snake. A little bit of cooking oil later and she was free. I gave her a bath with some mild soap to get rid of the cooking oil and and remains of the trap, which thankfully is non-poisonous. She's setup in a tub again, this time in one on a more secure self with a lid on the tub even though that makes it really hard to pull out now.

I am so happy to have her back, I'm not sure there is much that will ever top this feeling. I have no idea how long she was stuck in that stupid thing, but I'm going to be keeping a very close eye on her for the next few days.

Thank you everyone who helped me these past few days!

I'm so very happy you found her, and that she's okay after her very scary and trying ordeal.

O believe me ive been there. I FREAK out when an animal escapes just recently a blue tree monitor of mine escaped for 2 weeks and was in our ceiling a and wall ( or so is what we think) and then he ran into our frog room most like because he smelled frogs and i found him. ive also dealt with 2 corn snake escapes a bunch of monitor escapes and 1 BP escape. My BP was in my laundry pile hiding in a shirt.

    Congrats! :D
I've never dealt with a snake escape but I have dealt with a hamster escape years ago. It's a horrible feeling when you lose any animal. Luckily, two days later I found the hamster in the laundry room. (Still not sure how that tiny thing crawled all the way downstairs passed my Toy Fox Terrier safely.)

:w00t:  I'd been following your other thread, so glad you found her!! I've never had a snake escape but when I had my pitbull he ran off when my boyfriend let him out one day. He was only gone for a couple hours but the whole time I was worried out of my mind, I was afraid that even if someone saw him, no one would help him because he was a pitbull and they're "vicious, mean dogs". :/

Hurray that Bella is safe and sound in her tub!

I am happy for you, Ive lost my snakes more than a few times.

    I have a horrible memory...

It's funny though I usually find them stuck under a door because they are to fat to fit through.

Once again glad to hear your snake wasn't hurt, I know how it feels when they get out.

I started reading the other thread about this you made about this. I'm so glad you found her! I bet she'll be the most coddled snake in the country from now on lol.

WOOO HOOOOO!!! I've been following your story...the only thing I didn't catch in the beginning was how she escaped in the first place?? Did you have her in a tub?? I was thinking of getting latches for my tubs so they cannot be pushed out.

I've had one of my snakes get lost twice (same BP, 2 different incidents) both were my fault...he didn't escape though, he just got lost. First time I had him out on my bed and I fell asleep, woke up and ripped my entire room apart trying to find him and the whole time he was on my dresser ontop of a picture frame, he looked like a statue. I'm sure he was like 'hahahahahaha she can't find meeeee'! And then the second time I put him on my bed while I was folding laundry and all of a sudden I realized I was late for work (you know how fun laundry folding is...time flies...apparently) and I ran out the door to work and when I came home 8 hours later I opened my door and his tank lid (before I had a rack) was wide open and my heart sank. Luckily though he was right underneath the nightstand that I had the tank on. *whew*!

Anyway, I haven't had any true "escapees" yet but I worry about them being able to somehow push the tubs out enough to poke their nose out and then squirm their way out of the tubs.

I am so glad you found her....very happy for you!! I know the relief you must be feeling!!!!
