    pure destruction
So I wake up today and as usual I head over to Mud Py's tank to make sure his temps are ok and notice that the Humidity is saying Hi.
Well I am still asleep a little so I didn't notice that he had totally destroyed his tank last night.

His hot hide was flipped over and the whole tank is soaked. Would have loved to have seen what the heck he was up to last night

haha I hate that. I'm ocd about his tank, and making sure it's perfect. Then he comes out at night, dig's through the substrate and wrecks everything lol. Drives me nuts.

My Ball does that ALL THE TIME. She hides all day but as soon as we go to bed, out pops her little head and the destruction begins. She moves her hides ALL OVER THE PLACE, pulls down the vines (I ended up having to twist tie them to the screen top to keep her from doing that) and just makes a mess of everything. In the morning she's back in her hide and giving me the "Oh my goodness, who did all that?" look.
    :P
    Gotta love 'em.

i get nutso :rolleye2: when my girl "messes things up" too, haha. i have it all nice and neat in there for her and she'll just randomly re-arrange it. she cant flip her water bowls over cuz i had that in mind when buying them so i got the flukers corner bowls, they're very heavy rock dishes.
before i made her the new hide boxes she has now, she used to end up flipping the other ones over whenever she'd be trying to pack herself in 'em. usually they'd sit ontop of her like a turtle shell & sometimes they'd flip over entirely.
one time she flipped one over into the water dish next to her then climbed into it, still trying to "hide". i just left her to figure it out for herself...took a couple hours before she finally realized she wasnt hidden and went to the other hide box.

I don't mind the hides being moved cause he does that sometimes but today was the first time I had seen the whole cage soaked. It looked like he was splashing around in his bowl or something lol

My balls (I love saying that!) like cardboard boxes as hides. Fuzzy, our bigger bp, likes to lay on top of his, crushing them. It's not like they are too big for him, he's just ...rude like that. We use soda boxes, cut to shape and size. He can crush them all he wants, he'll lay on top of them for a few hours then I suppose when it is sufficiently modified, he'll attempt to crawl back in and end up looking like a turtle with a box on his back moving around his tub. Strange little animals...

My guy loves the cardboard box hide too, even though I bought him a really nice hide

Except, he only uses them with two holes (one to go in thru bottom, one on top) but as long as he moves from one to the other, I'm ok with his love of the cardboard :P even if he moves it all around... If he isn't careful, and he goes thru the top hole and wraps his tail around the main door, he drags it around like a tu-tu...then tries gettin in his other hide

i can just picture him trying to get into the 2nd hide going
"hey! why dont i fit in here now?" [looks around confused]
oh! haha oops my other house is stuck to my tail."

:P he probably would if his mommy didn't help him out... I've seen him with his head in one hide, tail in another... He's very well hidden then, don't even see him! and it isn't goin from one to another... he actually just sits there for a while...
