    Interesting clutch
I bred a lesser female to a bumble bee male once in November, and a spinnerblast male once in December. I never saw any breeding after that. The clutch hatched and it contained 1.0 kingpin, 0.1 lesser, 0.1 pinstripe and 2 normals. The interesting part is that she was bred to a pinstripe male last year. Retained sperm or horrible odds? Either way, you have to love kingpins.

Well if she bred the spinner blast in December then thats where your pin gene came from.

I know it could be the spinnerblast but there were no pastels or spiders in the clutch so it made me think that it could be sperm retention from the year before. I usually do very well with the odds so maybe that's why I question it. Maybe the odds finally caught up with me...

The normal in the clutch does make me think it was retained sperm from last year since the other 2 males were doubles and like you said, no spiders or pastels.

I had the same thing happen to me this year. Hatched babies from a male I didn't breed this year lol.

Very nice babies you have there.

Thanks everyone. The 2 normals in the clutch really threw me. I wouldn't expect that from a spinnerblast but it could happen. Either way I'm happy.

I would still take it as nothing more then the fact that you hit the pinstripe odds from your spinner and none of the others. Retaining genetics from another snake for a year sounds... Miuno..

I believe it was from the spinnerblast even if you didn't had a pastel or a spider in the clutch doesn't mean he is not the dad. im 99.9% sure he is the dad but I have 1% of been wrong ....and congrads nice kingpin and clutch none the less
