Cinnies and Possible Granites Freshly Shed!!!
This was my 3rd clutch of the year. The possible sires were a cinnamon and a spotnose, with the cinnamon getting the job done. The female was one of my dinkers and she's really giving me something to work for. Here are a few pictures to show you what I'm working with. Please let me know what you think. I plan to hold a pair of these back and continue working with the project to see what happens. I have another cinnamon female that has yet to shed, but I suspect she may be a possible cinnamon granite. As soon as she's shed I'll add the pictures.

Cinnamon Female #1 (first baby out of the egg and first baby to shed):

Look like Granites to me.... Do you have any pics of the mother?

If she has a similar pattern then they are Genetic Granites :D Congrats :gj:

Yeah here is a picture of mom. Her speckling faded as she grew, and this really isn't the best picture to show off the speckling she still has, but her pattern and colors are the same (granted she darkened up with age):

Yeah the clutch was 8 eggs total and I ended up with 0.2 cinnies, 1.3 possible granites, and 2.0 normals. One of the two cinnamons might be a possible granite also, still waiting on her to shed to really be able to tell.

congrats with the nice looking babies!!!

Noob question but: how can you tell these are granites? cause they look normal to me, but then again i really don't know what makes a granite a granite...

    Thanks for the compliment!

Not a noob question. It's the black speckling throughout their patterns. They don't just have your average normal alien head look, they are peppered (dubbed by Justin Koblyka). There are several proven lines in the granite gene, but I don't think that one has produced a super yet.

These babies also have very clean bellies and very faded heads, with lots of orange flames. So I'm hoping to prove them genetic in a few more years and maybe even hit a super. I'm not quite sure if this female or the babies are genetic or not. But I am going to hold onto a few and see what happens in the future.

IMO those are definitely grates! The mother does not show much peppering but the babies are stunning.

As for the Cinny.... I don't think its a granite.. here is the only pic I can find of a granite cinnamon. Its a very nice one though :gj:

If I read correctly the possibly Granite Cinny has not been pictured yet because she has not shed yet. I may have just scanned through the thread, so OP may correct me if I am wrong. ;)

Gorgeous babies, by the way. Love the Granite look.

Yeah you are right, the other cinnamon is still in shed, should be tonight or tomorrow and I'll post a few pics. However, after seeing the picture of the cinnamon granite I don't think my other one is, unless this granite gene is affecting it differently.
