Ball python rescues times four
So I recently rescued 4 ball pythons from a lady that just didn't want them anymore. The ages of these pythons are ready for this 20 years, 15 years, 15 years, and 12 years!!! She's "down-sizing" the amount of animals she has and quite frankly just didn't want them anymore. I call them my strike force x's 4. They are all a lil nippy to say the least but maybe too cause my hands smelled like rodents it was feed day at my house. :D

Pictures please. Would love to some older bps :)

That's awesome that you were able to take them in! People astound me when they "just don't want" their animals any more. They're living things, not trash. You don't just use them a little and through them away. At least they're in a caring home now. Can't wait to see pics. :)

were they in good shape?
you didnt say anything about poor husbandtry
Oh congrats and picss please :D

The husbandry was disgusting to say the least. The cage was really nice had it been clean, with heat, and water. But none of the above were there so forget about it. The cage was a large tall 3 sided wood cage the front was 2 door chicken wire with aspen shavings for bedding, sheds were so thick on the bottom you couldn't see the shavings. There wasn't any water bowl, and I didn't see any heat source. When she started taking them out and handing them to me, they were ICE COLD. She said they have been to the vet several times for skin issues and have had several mite and tick infestations. Eeeeew!!! Even if I didn't want the bp's at this point I was going to take them anyway. I'm working on posting picts of them on here, apparently there aren't many picts of oldie bp's.

Forgot to mention, they all seem to be in ok shape. The oldest is a female she's the 20 yr old, she's in horrible shed right now they seem to be pretty chunky. Them internally idk because of all the mite and tick infestations. But, the outside seems, meh. Only time will tell. I do know because of all the mite issues these guys have had, they are probably not going to ever be introduced to the 3 i already own. :(. I'd really like to tho, I'd love to prove one in particular out tho, I do believe he may be a fire :)

Yeah the 20 yr old was her college pet. The others idk, apparently she has come to the conclusion she has too many animals. But seriously I'm thinking you've had this one for 20 yrs and now poof you just don't care enough about it anymore to want to keep it? That's just weird to me. But they are mine now, and I won't give them up. I've given them a good home, after their quarantine these bp's will have their own tubs, bowls of water. For the rest of their lives. Happy bp's!! :gj:

I'm not trying to figure out how to post which one is which, i will tell you the one with the really bad shed is the 20 yr old female, btw she doesn't look like that now!!! she looks beautiful, i soaked her 4 times to get that nasty shed off her and now have to post that picture. But hey finally got these pictures up I know you guys were chomping at the bit for. So enjoy!!! Sorry it took so long.
