Umm. . .gross

So I was sitting with my BP on my lap. He was moving around, exploring, then all of a sudden he stops moving. I just thought something must have scared him. But then a few minutes later i feel something wet on my legs! Ari shat on me! :O
Is this normal? Or at least not a sign of something to worry about? It didn't smell strong and it looked normal.

Yes, ball pythons poo....and pee. It's normal :D

Snakes go when they feel like, even if you happen to be holding them. :P

Nothing to worry about, he just pooped on you lol. Ive had it happen a few times just luckily not on me. My 6ft carpet python left a big one in my computer chair while I was cleaning her tub.

My BP took a huge dump on my bed....TWICE.

I've been pooped on a few times. The last one I was putting one of the Big girls back into her tub which was above my head. Didn't feel like using the stool so I was reaching all the way up. All at once I got explosive poop and pee all down my face, head, and body. Super gross. I about peed myself I was so mortified. Lucky you it was just your leg.

Great! I was just worried that the pooping in an unusual place might be a sign of parasites or something. I worried that since most mammals typically have to be comfortable/secure to go and if they go in an atypical way something may be wrong that maybe that applied to snakes too. The hognose I had as a little kid never went on me and my beardies never did either. I'm glad to hear that it's normal.:oops:

I think liquid pissing on you is worse though. It gets into everything everywhere. And quite a lot comes out. Its really bad....

Protip: look for a bulge near the cloaca prior to handling. No bulge? Feel free to handle!

I haven't been pooped on by my snakes yet, but I have been pooped and peed on by more animals than I can count. I wouldn't worry too much, especially if it looks normal.

I will take snake poop on my leg any day over a babies diaper... :puke2:

Try having retics....they won't use the restroom until you decide to pull them out of the cage...doesn't matter how long or short its been....they'll at the least piss on you if you're holding them...

that just means he likes you idk wats wrong with that my snakes love me they pee and poop on me all the time

This happened all in one day:
My bp pooped in my pillow case
Peed on my bed
And then peed on my bed again
After having to wash your bed linen 3 times within a few hours... You ban your bp from the bed completely.

I'm lenient sometimes but i never let him just chill on my bed for long. The bed ban is still in effect. haha :rofl:
