3 new holdback females
Getting ready to ramp up production so I can sell food to a friend who got tired of breeding them and would rather buy them from me :P
3 of the females I'm holding back...
Black eyed White Standard coat, I'm just getting into this gene, hopefully I'll get some more females from my partner who is making them quite often.

Blue Baldie Standard Coat...Baldies when bred to possum face blazes make awesome blazed up litters which is why I kept her back.

*for the life of me I can't get the white setting correct, sigh*

Isn't the first one a masked rattie?
Anyways, they're all freakin adorable! I can't decide which is my favorite!
*Edit* I was curious, so I went to a trusty rat variety site, and found out the first one is a "Patched" or "Mismarked Black Eyed White"
-
I really like the second one!

Nice Jerry! I got my first rack done :) We're going to be talking when your timeframe allows. Gorgeous little rats. I'm super excited to get my colony going and your pictures make it worse.
Regards,
B

It is a masked rat, the parents throw everything from pure white to dalmations.
Your edit is correct, she's a mismarked BEW or masked ratty.

I have one other very much like her that has thrown me some killer litters so I figured I keep her back.

That's weird, I just uploaded them and haven't moved or deleted them?
Hopefully you can see them now?

No. It says this image or video has been moved or deleted..
Hmmm. I wonder why every one else can see them.

Re: 3 new holdback females
I just started throwing Black Eyed Whites myself. Most of the pairings offspring are very lightly marked Masked, with 25% being true Black Eyed Whites. So far, the offspring aren't showing issues with megacolon and some of them are upwards of six months old.
The same pairing throws really odd blue colors with the masked offspring. Which I remember there being Blue color caused by the spotting gene (High White), but wasn't really explored due to it being dangerous. I think it was called Chinchilla or some such.
Anyway, very adorable babies! I really enjoy seeing all of the ratties you have. If you didn't live so far away, I'd be bumming a Burmese out of you. :)

You're killing me with all of these cute rat pictures. Really making me wish I had enough snakes to justify breeding them as well, lol.

Unless they get hit with late onset mega colon I'd say they will be fine.
My breeding partner and I have yet to throw mega colon with any of our rats including the BEW's, hopefully it stays that way :P

I believe my partner has made blue masked but I'd have to ask him to confirm that

Oh, I have regular Blue Masked (both Russian and English). But these start out with black ticking and end up looking greyish/black. I wish I had held back one where you could see the colors a little better, but most that are colored like that are only lightly marked (eye spots, etc).
One of the Blues is on the very bottom being mooshed, the other is on the far right.

Great looking little holdbacks! To bad shipping live rats is so expensive...I'd definitely be interested in a few!
