What's the current market price for a 2010, 800gram pastel female?
Trying to get an idea of a general market price for a 2010, 800 gram pastel female? I dont know if this would factor into pricing at all but it's supposedly eating 3 live mice weekly.
Thanks in advance,
Javier

Well most breeders frown on mouse feeders but a bigger female pastel would probably go for at around 150-200 depending on color. Pattern. Right buyer.
Pics?

$150-200 is low. I bet $5-600ish for a female that size is more accurate. It does depend on the quality of the animal as well.

That is a very gorgeous Pastel who seems to have held her color well so far.. I'd imagine she's going to cost you a pretty penny.
$150-200 seems more like the cost of a nice, young male Pastel.

That female pictured is nice and at 800g is worth 5-600 easy..
Most proven breeder females run abuout 7-1000 depending on size and color

My original guess was close. I'd stand behind it after seeing that picture. Great looking pastel!

I would say closer to 5 than 6 just because of her being a mouse feeder. If she was eating rats I would say 6 plus. Great looking girl. Ask if they have ever tried rats. Some snakes are really easy to switch over to rats and never really switch. Only you can decide how important that is to you.

I would say that one would go somewhere between $300 and $600 easily:gj::gj:

5-600 for her is a great price and she is a great looking pastel.
-
Yeah, if she looks like that in person, $500.

Re: What's the current market price for a 2010, 800gram pastel female?
I use the price of 50 cents per gram as a baseline (seems to be the going rate on pastels) and then look at the other factors that could determine price, so at 600 grams, the base price would be about $300. Then you consider that she's a mouse feeder and that adds no value. She's got nice blushing and pattern, so maybe add $50 more. She's an early 2010 which means she could potentially breed next season if she got up to size, but on mice, that will be harder to do, so you can't really add a ton beyond that.
I'd pay $350 - $400 for this particular girl. If the risk on getting her to size fast enough is a concern, then I'd pass all together and look for another one with better potential. It's all about what you're hoping to gain by adding her to your collection.

Sorry- I had 600 gram stuck in my head. Change base price to $400 and add $50 so $450 for her plus shipping is what I would do.

Dude, she's gorgeous. I'd pay $600+ for that girl. Get her up to size, put a lesser on her next year (2012-13 season) and make your money back easily.

$500-600 for a nice looking 800g pastel like the one pictured.
-
My personal price range would be $300-$800 for 800 gram pastels, based on looks.
If I was selling her, I wouldn't take a penny under $600, and I'd leave the asking price around $700 for a few months before I entertained lower offers. That's pretty much entirely based on her coloration and brightness (assuming the picture is recent as well).
I pay much more for looks than I do for size.. and as a corollary, I price animals in my head VERY low for their size if they are ugly. Ugly animals are worthless for breeding. Plenty of female pastels out there I wouldn't pay $50 for, even if they were up to breeding size.

Re: What's the current market price for a 2010, 800gram pastel female?
i would have to agree 5-600 easily just because of color if she don't look that light anymore then she isn't worth it beauty is much more important than size imho

last girl I saw like that for sale was around $800, dont know if she sold for that but that was her asking price. I could see between 5-600.

Nice animal!!! I would have no problem paying $400-$600 for her!

So I guess ya'll would be really mad if I said what I paid for mine:D:D

My friend just bought a similar snake for $550 so I hope that helps.

I saw the add for this snake today, I believe it was listed for $900.. She is absolutely gorgeous, but not worth $900, in my opinion. I'd rather get a different morph or combo for the same price.

I'd pay up to $800 for that Pastel she is well worth it IMO

Re: What's the current market price for a 2010, 800gram pastel female?
Thanks everyone for the numerous responses. I went to check out this snake since seller was local. Turns out this picture was taken with sunlight and snake was not exactly as pictured. Then seller mentioned last minute that he just noticed her nose was red. Turns out part of her lip was red and upon opening her mouth, it looks like this girl has developed/ or is in the process of developing mouth rot. Lesson learned to stick with breeders I know and trust.
