I usually wait till the next day but it's your choice really, there is no wrong or right :)

I usually wait about 3 days before I offer food. Be sure to offer a small meal the first few feedings to allow the digestive system to get used to processing food again.

    Hi,

Did you remember to wash her and everything else after you took the eggs away?

I have been known to offer that night after removing them and washing everything down but I normally wait till the next day just to let them settle back down and de-stress.

If it has been a while since she ate start with a smaller than normal prey item so it's a more gently restart of her digestive system. Once you know she is digesting ok then it's fine to feed her back up for a bit.

Watch out though as her feeding response might have gone into hyperdrive. :P

Laying a clutch turned a shy drop feeder of mine into a strike feeding savage.

I don't offer until after their next shed usually. Before that and it is about 50/50 whether or not they will take food.

Yeah I washed the enclosure and her as well...
Its just I'm a little worried
She weighed 1789 before she layed.
She laid 7 eggs and probly weighs aout 1000 grams now.

I usually offer about a week after the eggs are laid or at the next normal feed day - which ever comes first.

It's pretty normal for them to lose a bit less than half their body weight-if they stopped eating. She'll gain it back in no time. I offer prey the next day.

I clean her, clean the tub, and offer anywhere from 1-3 days later.

I had snakes last year eat that night ( i found eggs in morning and pulled out wrong tub and dropped in a rat pup) but it didn't matter she snageed it so quick I was checking for all my fingers even though the rat was on the tub and not my hand lol
I also gotten to the point i don't feed till 2 days after so they can calm down and relax those abused muscles .

I wash them after eggs are taken away and food offered next day.

Some wait till the shed, but not all females will shed after laying eggs. Only one female this year has shed after laying so dont rely on the shed.

If a female is not wanting to eat right away i offer live till she takes it, then move back to frozen and this helps a lot. I switched a 5 year old mouse eater this year to rats after laying eggs.
