    New snake?
Hi, I really want a new snake. Ive had experience with snakes, ive owned a cpl corn snakes and a ball python. Im looking to get a new snake but i am not sure what kind to get. I am looking for something thats fairly affordable. Im not interested in another corn, ball python, milk snake, or kingsnake. I want something that is pretty docile that i can handle without getting bit all the time. Im open to everyones suggestions on what type of snakes to look in to.

I think I'm leaning more towards a boa or a different type of python

If you are considering a boa, the first thing to think about is the adult size you want. While some boas, such as the Central American and Mexican localities will stay in the 5-7 ft range, the Colombian and South American localities will easily reach the 9-11ft range. Alot of research is key when considering and selecting a boa. I love mine... :D

One snake I really like and plan on getting in the future is the woma python. They are beautiful, not too small but not too big, and I've heard they are really docile. If you haven't checked them out yet, you definitely should.

The woma python does seem like a nice snake. How much does one of those run?

My BCI is just about the sweetest thing ever. He'll get to 9 or 10 ft though, so that might not be what youre after.

Rosy boas have good temperament and stay pretty small.

Are you sure about that? I've never seen one for more than $400. Most of the ones I've seen online were priced around the $200-$300 range.

That's true. But I still haven't seen a CB one for anything close to $1000.

I've looked at the rosy boas they seem like a sweet snake. Any body else have any suggestions for a boa or different type of python that's under 200 docile so i dont have to worry about being bit every time I try to pick it up and that's 4 to 6ft long or maybe even 5 to 7ft long.

    ...umm.... no.

Womas typically run $150-500, with the majority $250 and under.
