Oh my... you sure thats an ovulation? The Easter bunny never made it to my house this year ;) Good luck with that clutch, also interested in who the sire was.

Thanks! She refused my male champagne and a few pied males. I finally got her to breed with a fire ringer male...

    Oh yeah, a nice match.

She just wanted a male as purdy as her. She is a ringer right? Or, was it a paradox? Shoot. These weird ones get me confused every time.

    It's a hot pairing though. :)

Pretty sure I've heard that Champagne x Champagne is a bad idea... there is a NERD video about what not to breed together, just watched it the other day.

Reasons being... defects, dead hatchlings, etc. Same goes for Champagne x Spider... just doesn't work for some reason. Theres a few others as well if you dig up the video.

Definitely would hate to see someone get all slugs or hatch kinked half dead babies from their most prized female. It could be a blessing in disguise that she refused your Champagne male.

Fire Champagne sounds cool, good luck with your clutch!

Good job Dave. I can't believe you got that 09 girl to go already. I am jealous.

Thanks everyone!! I'm excited to see what she produces...

Drew, I've seen the video and heard the rumors but I still wanted to try for the super champagne to see for myself. I then thought mixing pied with her may be interesting. My third choice was the fire ringer male as he just seemed like a good mate for this girl. Here is a fire champ I produced from another pairing last season, she may be the only fire champ as far as I know.
