cant find it
i was curious to see if theres a bp morph that is all white...
no not the BEL's...:colbert:
i mean like REAL white - clean, no faded out background colors, just simple pure white...like the white on the pieds.
like you see it and wanna grab the nearest pack of oreos to dip in this cup of milk...:P
i went to worldofballpythons.com but now i'm starting to think that the only way to get a pure white snake like this was to find a pied that is ONLY white.

From what I understand a mojave x lesser or lesser x lesser will give you a pure white BEL. It is the mojove x mojave pairing that will give you a bit of an ivory or a "dirty" BEL.
I have researched this a litte bit, and that is the conclusion that I have come up with. Someone else chime in if I am wrong, but I think you can get a white BEL. That is why my next purchase will be a lesser!

Re: cant find it
i mean yeah dont get me wrong the bel's are good lookin and all but that "dirty" look kinda makes me go "eh...:hmm:"

Re: cant find it
Your best bet Is lesser/butter x lesser/butter BEL as far as lucys go, most I have seen are pure white ones, few times resently people have posted some that get some yellow but it seems to be pretty rare.
lesser/butter x mojo I have seen quite a few yellow out and a couple with dirty heads, though I have seen some nice white ones also.
OP I would look into lesser/pieds. They have a chance to get pattern, but a lot of them don't. They have normal eyes though.

There are plenty of non-dirty PURE white blue-eyed lucys, and they all come from butter, lesser, or het russo parents.. and they are the best out there if you want a white snake.

Re: cant find it
i was just trying to see if they were out there cuz all i've seen were the dirty lookin' ones.
thx everyone.

You've probably mostly seen pics of super mojos, mojo crosses, and things involving phantom/special/mystic BELs.

Re: cant find it
I have two blue eyed leucistics. One is a lesser X mojave, and she is very clean and pure white. My other one is Russo white diamond, and she is not pure white. She has a pale yellow line down her spine, which I understand is typical for white diamonds. Apparently if you breed a white diamond to a lesser, your BEL babies should be pure white, though. I am working on that cross this year.

Re: cant find it
It does sound like the 100% white pied might be a little whiter than any of the leucistics. My understanding is that a homozygous pied that is also lesser is very often 100% white. Sometimes even a spider pied goes all white but your best chance of 100% seems to be the lesser combo.

Lesser pieds are up there on the list (number one IMHO). Check out this photo (courtesy of Paul Fisher's website www.piedpeddler.com). Now that's a white snake!

Some of the super fires are pure white and the black eyes and red pupils make them incredible.

Re: cant find it
Getting away from anything doing with either BEL and the pairings needed, if you have good patience or a deep pocket: Albino Super Black Pastel?
From what I've seen they aren't dirty at all, and have no light patterns.
But, like I said, a lot of patience for breeding or a a few extra thousand dollars conveniently laying around is what you'll need :P

Re: cant find it
what about a mojave pied? aka white gold?? completely white pied no yellows or dirty heads well atleast in the ones ive seen

Re: cant find it
Thanks for providing the motivation to take updated pictures of our White Wedding Spied! They are a variant of the Spider Pied and appear to be a random occurrence with that combo. They have the black eyes with red pupil similar to the Super Fire. Given that there is variation within the blue-eyed complex, only some Super Fires are totally white, only some Spider Pieds are totally white, and some Lesser Pieds have color, what you are looking for is a little hard to find! Anyway, I hope you enjoy the pictures below:

All of the Mojave Pieds I've seen have very dark brown heads along with "gold" pattern rather than the normal Pied markings in the patterned areas.
