I now present you with the most amazing birthday gift the ball gods could have blessed me with...

There is also a Woma/Lesser in there ;)

Of course, I never did pair a woma with the dam of this clutch so I'm baffled as to how I got woma's hatching out but at least one is a double co-dom!

It's so light and lavender colored compared to other Lessers/Butters I've hatched or seen. If by some chance it isn't a platinum, it's the most amazing whatever it is I've seen. For instance.. Here's a lesser from last year.. http://tapatalk.com/mu/43a34993-0611-5759.jpg
    http://tapatalk.com/mu/43a34993-0625-22c8.jpg

And here is the new baby again..

    http://tapatalk.com/mu/43a34993-0644-699f.jpg

My camera is making it look darker than it is. It's going to pop once it sheds. If I'm wrong I'll be surprised.

I think its a very nice Lesser/Butter but a Daddy it is not. Way to dark, a Daddy looks so light out of the egg. I am sorry but I'm not seeing it.

How cute, congrats on the clutch. I agree with the others though; too dark to be a daddy.

Sorry but that is not a platty daddy. they come out way lighter then that, nice looking lesser baby indeed.

    http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...t=platty+daddy

but this person hatched out platty daddys and didn't even know what they were.
you can tell a huge difference in color from yours baby right out of the egg to theirs.
plus it has nothing to do with the camera's even if it was a phone camera.

BUT nice baby none the less!

edit:Not my picture i took it from the thread i posted and this was on page 4

Really cool clutch! Even if it's not a platty daddy as others mentioned, it's still a smokin lesser!

    I'd have to agree.

Also that woma, looks like a nice woma... Not a lesser woma... take a look at this link http://www.herpcenter.com/reptile-cl...e-081209-6.jpg

I have a theory on this. I'm talking to Ralph Davis right now about it. When I figure it out I'll let you know. It might have to wait until they shed. That Woma has a yellow head and pink sides but they're not out yet so I'll keep you guys posted :)

sometimes babies look a bit purple coming out of the egg, give them a chanch to color up and after they shed once or twice you will know what they are. What did you put together to get this cluth?

I know and unfortunately it's beginning to look that way. I've never seen a butter/lesser so light at hatching, and the eyes just blew me away. I'm giving it some time.

Sometimes babies hatch out really light. This was one of my normals from last year when she hatched.

Well, since you know that ugly baby is just a common lesser, I can't imagine you want to keep that hideous thing. I'd be willing to take it off your hands. ;)

Very nice babies, by the way.

Lol! That decision will be made once I know what the sex is. I believe it's a butter (the dam) and it seems the entire clutch wanted out too early. 2 of them pipped on day 53 and every one has gotten at least 2 shades darker. I guess they just weren't done cooking yet. I do believe I now have hands on proof that butters and lessers are a visually different variation of the gene. At least as babies. Of course, that's my opinion, but the difference between this little one in color and pattern, and a lesser I hatched, is phenomenal.

I don't think I'll be posting "in egg" photos of light morphs anymore. Lol geeze.

They're all beautiful to me tho :D

The color change is CRAZY

Here is a picture of a pastel dinker in the egg that I was loosing my mind over and then he colored up to "normal" pastel colors.

idk, sometimes. But mostly you will see the yellow come in more over the first 6 months.

It depends on how early they hatch and the morph. I have a lesser I hatched last year that started out looking like a mojave but over the course of a year it lightened up so much that it's yellows now are just insane. I'm not sure why that happened since lessers generally look better as babies. After the first shed, they all usually look a lot different than they do the moment they hatch.

If a clutch hatches a week early like this one did, they can be incredibly light. Especially while still in the egg. I was making judgment based on babies still in the egg and got fooled lol.
