    Senior Prom
...makes me wanna cry! LOL I can't believe it's her senior prom and she's so close to graduation and moving on to college! Makes my head spin just thinking about it! But of course, I have to show her off....

How proud you must be as a mother! And how long since I have seen the infinite horizon of Colorado and Kansas.

Thanks, Dale! I am, indeed, very proud! :D

Funny thing about the horizon. In that direction from our deck, it's not supposed to look "infinite." There's a huge mountain range with Pike's Peak right there...but the weather was not cooperating at all yesterday (it snowed!) and the mountains were completely shrouded in clouds all day. I was hoping for some nice pics with mountains in the background...had to settle for being glad it wasn't precipitating during the few minutes I had to take pictures.

Oh wow, that dress shows her eyes off wonderfully. I don't think she could've chosen anything more lovely.

JLC, any chance you can buy me a prom dress like that? :O
Holy cow--I never went to any dances with dresses like that. I did go to a semi formal dance but all I had was a black dress made of cotton material, nothing fancy like a prom dress.
That's a gorgeous dress, but a dress is nothing without a beautiful person to wear it--which she is :D

Judy, I can't get over how grown up & elegant Petra is now! She is absolutely beautiful in that dress, but what really stands out is the quiet confidence, dignity & grace that radiates from these photos. Reminds me of her mom like that. ;)

    Beautiful! I love her dress!

I couldn't imagine how excited, scared, and happy you are for her to be done with high school soon! I'm not a mom, but my sister is quite a bit younger than me and she's turning 16 in a couple months, then in a couple years she's be in your daughters shoes! It's crazy how fast time flies and kids grow up! :tears:
