    High End Herps - ARRESTED
Some more bad people in the reptile business.

When they get in trouble, they conveniently change their names!

Unfortunately, you cannot read the article unless you are a Cox customer. I can't :(

What kind of a permit does someone need to sell snakes?

It's sad that only in cases of animal cruelty does the media not make snakes out to be monsters. I hope they go to good homes.

Not only was he neglecting the snakes but feeding pets to them too?!

"Deputies say there are reports out of Louisiana that Beauchemin advertised as a "pet adopter" on Craigslist...but fed those pets to his snakes."

It takes a real monster to be so heartless! Here these people think that their pets are going to loving homes when they're going to feed some abused reptiles. And I'm sure it wasn't just pet rats and mice that were being fed off.....*RAGE*

    No, it's new news!

The old news is about them in Oakdale, LA. They were arrested there also.

They were turned in for feeding dogs and cats to the snakes. (This is what I understand went on. You can look it up and read more on Fauna)

    DOOP,

Their last arrest for not properly having permits for snakes over 12 feet was in Allen Parish, LA. I stated in an earlier post that the fella was going by the name Allen Parish. LOL Maybe he can use that name next time he wants to break the law.

Hope this crappy event doesn't make the reptile industry look bad in any way.

Call me a pessimist but if the guy that got bit by a hot snake caused a ban in one state, I think this will definitely hurt us....

Is it just me or are most the animal abuse allegations more to do with the "soft cute pets" and not the conditions the snakes were being kept in? The condition of the snakes comes off as an after thought. Its as if they only care about the soft-cute-pets and the state & local size restrictions. Otherwise these snakes would be SOL
