well ive had the best luck finding snakes in corners... if this is a bed room im sure theres something in a corner for it to hide under or inside of.... you have to remember that these guys can get into things that look impossible for it to fit in.

also anything that generates heat in the room will attract the snake.
ive had only 2 escapees and both of them never even left the room that they were in.
keep me posted on if you find it and where.

    goodluck,

I found my escapee in a dresser drawer both times. The first he was actually in the drawer, the second he had crawled behind the draw. So be careful when you are pulling dresser drawers out.

Good luck! I hope it works out.

I had one BP escape twice. The first time he was a few feet away curled up near a heat source. The 2nd time he was 3 rooms away so don't get discouraged and just look EVERYWHERE. Use a flashlight when looking too, it'll help. Good luck.

well i have pulled out all of her dressers and computer stand and emptied her closet and still have not found him. if it got into my moms room the dogs would have let me know as i let all the dogs smell them when i get all mine out and they sniff and walk away. so i dont think he made it into my moms room so i have 3 other rooms to look in and distroy then clean back up besides hers of course lol. hopefully he will come crawling out of his hiding spot soon i dont feel like cleaning all this crap back up.:rage:

Look under clothes, dressers, box springs, if the bedrooms are upstairs then you are lucky. If not, search under the fridge, oven, couches (and cushions), and chairs. Basically a dark warm area. Make a mess and have her clean it up ;)

My boa got out and was on top of the heat vents in my basement.

Any open vents? How about bathroom or hallway closets? I feel your pain, it took me a few hours too.

Is it getting warm there yet? I just talked to my mom who lives near you and she said its supposed to get in the 80's.

Look in place that have any openings even small ones. They get into couches, recliners, vacuums, ovens, fridges, dressers everywhere. Look in your moms room to don't count anything out. At all. Start at the cage go against the wall with a flashlight and slowly start to go around the room, and house. I pull things out of the room and check them one by one and take them out of the room as they are checked. I turn over couches, beds, any other furniture look for any holes or rips in the fabric and go from there. He won't come out till night time now so go slowly and keep a head on your shoulders. I've found every one of my escapees quickly well it takes a couple hours. But better than days. I hope you find him.

Have you taken a walk around the primeter of your house? Not that he will be sitting out in the open but just to look for tracks or turn over any toys or coverage that he might be in. Maybe even under if you have skirting?

I'll bet he's still in the room. They can get into everything....like if you have a tear in the bottom of your box spring they can get into that, reclining chairs, the backs/bottoms of sofas, wedged between a piece of furniture and wall, under a speaker

Remember to check high places too, like the top shelf of any closets. I'm fairly certain that as soon as a ball excapes they grow wings to ensure they won't be caught. Little turds!!

I would sure be telling my parents my sister needs to get rid of her ball if she can't take care of it. That's a bunch of diddly that you get blamed for her being unresposible.

How close is feeding day? Have you tried scenting it out with a rodent?

I have only lost a big snake (a long time ago) but honestly, I think they are all usually found within 5 feet of where they escaped. I would double check everything super close to the enclosure. Almost all the threads I've read end with "I found him XXXX" and it is usually right where you already looked before. Good luck!

    Regards,

    B

well every1 just a wonderful update he has been found looked over him 3 times before he knocked over some pictures trying to get up on top of the stereo in the living room i guess he wanted to jam a little but he was in the bottom of it the whole time then came up the back of it and in the process knocked over some pictures we have on top of it.:) but now he is in the tank with locks on the cage that i had for my bp but have recently went to a rack system so no longer needed them so here i am again taking care of her snakes like always i tried to take them from her and just add them to my collection since i have to use my rats to feed them and basically if i dont buy what they need then they dont get it and it really makes me mad. but on a happier note stepdad hasnt said anything to me about mine and i shown them that they aint getting out again they are ok with it again.:D:D:snake::gj:

    Re: escapee
good going, I know i had a scare this mornig ( 2x actually) I woke at 230 and hearda thud from reptile room, quick check and here on of the snake pushed the tub lid up enough to get out. I did a quick check and she fine. PLaced her back in the tub andplaced a couple heavy object on top the lid( I use the lids on my tubs )
well I got up 20 mintues ago and check again to ( find one snake laying eggs 3 possible 4 eggs)) andthe other missing again. I cussing a storm and try to start looking for her( I did somethingto my back and it semi locked up I can move /bend a little but it hurts like heck ) I then see a tub pushed out a little and angled, I look here she it laying on the heat tape directly wanting more warmth I guess. so I pulled out a different tub ( same size and mak just different model I guess) I placed it with her on a different shelf were the lid can only go up if lucky 1/4 inch. so see if she can get out of this one ( it stiffer plastic too)
