    Hi,

It doesn't exactly scream yellowbelly to me either. :(

There are some which do not have the expected marbled edges to the belly pattern or the high blushing apparently.

Was the person you traded with well known and respected - do they have any feedback on the BOI?

Not a YB. No flames, no light spot on the head, and the belly is wrong for a YB. Sorry! :(

I do not see Yb on that little guy. He's still really pretty but I'd be speaking with the person you traded with.

Well, this sucks. Traded a 16 tub professionally built rack with tubs and heat tape. I sent out an email to the person I did a trade with. Hopefully it is just a misunderstanding.

Sorry man, looks like a normal. I hope you can get it straightened out with the seller.

I'm adding a couple of pics of our male Yellowbelly below. You'll want to be looking for blushing and a headspot similar to these.

The speckled belly pattern along the sides of a YB's belly is much more than the random markings on a normal. It looks like different sized small paintbrushes were used to create all different sizes and shades of specks. Plus the belly is usually not white. Somewhere between off-white, ivory, beige, and yellow. More flames, blushing lighter head or prominent head marking.. Of course, this one is proof that not all great looking YB's have flames. The real proof is in the belly!

Let us know how it turns out. I like that normal though. Really clean and bold color.

Man that sucks :( but this was a helpful thread. I really couldn't have identified a YB compared to a normal before this. Thanks.

Unfortunately, it still looks like a nice normal. Hope you can get this sorted out with the guy you traded with.

Oh man, I hope you can somehow get it straightened out. You would think the guy knows that's not a YB. I agree with the person that said they would have traded for a more expensive morph, that sounds like a really nice rack!
