its not anormal because theres no pattern on her belly. mmm.

She is beautiful! But until you can prove her color/pattern are genetic she is just a great normal. I would breed her to a fire or het red axanthic male.

she's a nice Blushing Brown Back normal . until you prove her :)

How do you figure. I have 2 normal girls ho have clean bellies. Belly pattern means nothing in determining a snakes genetics.

WOW! Probably one of the most beautiful normals I've seen.. I can see why you'd think it was something else. Congrats on the pickup, especially if it does turn out to be female.

Wow she is awesome! A clear belly doesn't automatically mean a snake is a morph, some normals have clear bellies. I would call her a black back, that doesn't mean she's a genetic black back, but she has a black back. You won't know much about her till you breed her, she may be a genetic black back, or she may just be a really cool normal.

    Welcome to the site!

It is all I ever use for photo posting, you don't need an account or anything, just a free uploading site. I love it.

Your snake is absolutely gorgeous, I really love reduced pattern normals, and yours is a cut above!:)

I don't think it's a normal. I think it's amazing. But, unless proven though breeding it is classified as a normal.

Remember, we have barely touched on Ball Python genetics. There are still a lot of unknown/unproven morphs out there. But, every new pattern that pops up is "wild" until proven.

Do you know where she came from? If it's not imported, and bred in captivity. It's probably just an oddball normal. It will be hard to prove.

    Good luck! He/She is stunning!

He said something about her being imported about 7 years ago but i thought he didn't know what he was talking about. Because she really don't look 7 years old. :O Well to me anyways. Someone else said she looks like a cinni. all the morphs are confusing lol. That why I have boas cut and dry no guessing most the time.

    Hi,

I couldn't even venture a gues what she might be but I know for a fact I would be planning to breed to find out if it is genetic. :D

I'd be spoiled for choice to see what pops out but would probably breed her to a fire, a pastel and a lesser. One per year though so as not to confuse myself.

I wish you luck with her. :gj:

Agreed! Put me down for second to get a baby. :)

Although, I would put her with a normal. That way if she proves out for you, you can see what her offspring look like without influence from another morph.

Although, if it were genetic, all those morphs dr. del listed would make some hot combos. And, if that pattern proved to be another line of such morph, you could have some supers. Hello potential!!!

    Hi,

That was my thinking exactly. ;)

If it turned out to be related to vanilla or sulphur then breeding it to a fire should give some very obviously different offspring. And if it was a new line of blushed out fire then it would give BlkEL's.

Lesser should tell if it was a part of the BEL complex.

And pastels should just plain look stunning. :D

It's different for everyone. I started cooling in October, and started pairing in November. Some do it earlier, and others later.

I would take her somewhere to have her pop'ed/probed first. If it's a male, he's probably ready to breed anytime. If it's a female, I would get her up to 1500 - 2000 g's. But, she'll be ready probably by 1200. I just use higher standards to try and get a bigger clutch (not proven).

Judging by the age and the size from pics, I would say a male. Just a wild guess. But, honestly, I would hope for a male. That way you can pair him with multiple females.

How close are you to Edwardsville?

Oh. Lol. Sorry. I used to go up near KC to get rats from a guy who owns Go Lizards. He was a great guy to talk too & had some awesome prices on rats, but you know gas and all. I haven't been up in awhile.

I bet he could probe your little one for you. But, looks like it's pretty far from you. His address has changed to Bonner springs but same area. Quite a drive. Keep us update if you get him/her sexed though.

There is also an Expo coming up in May. You could take him and get some second opinions on the coloring?
