Stanley cup time !!!!!

OK everyone, Its that time of the year again, NHL PLAYOFFS. My personal favorite time of the year. My Flyers have had a ROCKY past 20 games but after ending the season with a win against the Islanders I think they are ready. Flyers, of course are my pick for the cup this year. I mean anything less would be back tracking. Here are my picks for this years Cup Run

I'm not picking vancouver though thats to easy. I think It will be Flyers VS Nashville For the cup.

Growing up just south of Vancouver (in WA) and watching the canucks growing up I am really looking forward to this years playoffs.

Tampa is a great team, to be honest I like them and there chances, but they are streaky as hell. It'd be a hard fought series but I think we can take them down.

I'd be More worried about the Rangers and possibly the bruins. Our record against both this year isn't great.


In the west I don't think Vancouver is invincible. I would not be surprised if they were out first or second round ala Washington last year. Detroit and especially Chicago I doubt will make it to the cup.

No in the west my bets lie on more dark horse teams. The Coyotes, The Predators, and yes selfishly the kings (though with all there injuries it would be a Cinderella run from hell).




But thats the great thing about cup time! Forget the regular season, It doesn't matter now. It's all about Lord Stanley and anything could Happen.

Buffalo has done surprisingly well with vanek and Miller despite what I see as terrible coaching.


Still they will be crushed by broad street. Better luck next year :gj:

Yeah, but didn't the Caps also beat Philly in all of their meetings in regular season? Honestly, the Caps are the only team I'm worried about.

Well LAst night was a GREAT game although the Flyers lost .. I think the Flyers outplayed the Sabres the whole game. Ryan Miller is INSANE. I am not worried at all. The only thing we need to do is get the garbage goals. The fancy stuff isnt going to work with this goalie.

sharks looked great in the 1st last night but slacked off rest of game they should get past my kings no problem since we have no kopitar but they didnt impress me much after the 1st

I agree the boys played hard and miller had a psycho night. We do need to settle for more ugly goals and mix it up abit more to.

Well, Flyers tied the series up , DEF should have been 5-2 if it wasnt for some CHEESY calls but Im confident we will close this series by game 5 or 6.
You could tell by Fridays Pitt vs Tampa game that game 1 was a fluke, Tampa will finish this series out in game 5.
I am really surprised with Coyotes going down 2 but we will see.
Im watching the Van vs Chi now and I think Chicago will take this first game home but Van will finish them off.
Havnt seen much of the other games but I am loving all this Hockey !!!!!

Finally some good news to end the weekend. I was all sorts of pissed at work because they lost the first game. Now it's time for them to just wipe the ice with the Sabers.

Wretched Officiating, the three stars of this game are the refs and Miller. The Zebras GAVE the sabres this game on a platter.

Well my friend you beat me to it .... Now before I start to rant and rave I will say Ryan Miller is an amazing goalie and that If it wasn't for him they clearly wouldn't even be in the playoffs. Now anyone that watches hockey or even anyone who doesn't, the officiating last night was horrendous. Carcillo's penalty and Richards 5 min penalty were ridiculous. I will tell you now , someone getting hurt Friday night when they bring this back to Philly and I will also say Pronger should be back and if not you need to dress Jody Shelley to do some work on the ice. I'm not worried about the series at all it just prolongs it .... They will still win...... LETS GO FLYERS !!!!!!!!

The Flyers sure showed them Sabers up tonight.

The only thing that got hurt was the equipment rack after Boucher threw his hissy fit. I'm old enough to remember the glory days of the REAL Broadstreet Bullies. The left side of Dave Schultz's scrotum is tougher than the entire 2011 Flyers lineup.

I know Seru/Siroux is hurting right now, and I like him, so I will stop there.

I'll keep quiet, but try to proof read a bit better; Or go back and slap your English teachers for me. A 3-2 series makes for good hockey..... and a higher probability for the Sabres neglecting to show up. :-(

Let's go Caps!!!!! Caps aren't choking this year, which means you guys got some problems. Flyers peaked at the wrong time, barely gonna make it past the Sabres, if they do. Detroit is going to be tough in the west, Canucks won't make it past them.
