firsts...
you ever wonder how many firsts a person gets in their life? first birthday, first day of school, first kiss, first car, first job...is it too soon for a mid life crisis? im sitting here drinking an imperial stout wondering how many firsts i have left.
whats your favorite "first"?
mine was my first football :)

Re: firsts...
The first night I slept in this house (the first house I've owned), the copper water line on the fridge cracked open and nearly flooded the downstairs while we slept. Nothing like being taught an important lesson about home ownership real early on.

but ill bet youll never forget that! are we talking a puddle? ankle deep? waist high?

Re: firsts...
I think every day is a first...my most memorable first day was the day I was diagnosed with MS. Not my favorite, just most memorable.
-
Re: firsts...
It couldn't have been going on for too long before I got up, because it was just a puddle in the laundry room and some soggy carpet in the hallway. That could have been much, much worse.
Another first... I had my first house fire about 6 months ago (lol). It finally got all fixed up in Dec, and when we moved back in I had my two cats locked up in the upstairs bathroom for a few days (I don't remember why). The 2nd or 3rd night back in our house I woke up to the sound of water... Apparently one of the cats climbed into the bathroom sink, pushed the stopper down with her fat butt, and somehow turned the water faucet on high.
That incident flooded two bedrooms, the downstairs bathroom, laundry room, and wrecked a bunch of drywall. Ended up costing us about $1k and 3 days with industrial heaters on downstairs.
I guess the cats didn't appreciate their accommodations.

4.3 years ago.

the first time I donated my hair was a favorite. :)

A couple years ago I bought my first brand new car! That was an exciting day for me. I was driving a 99 Honda crv that my mom paid off and gave it to me when I was 18. 5 years later I was finally able to get my own new car. Went with a 2009 jeep liberty and bought it outright. I live in my car and it was amazing to finally have one that on the interstate I wouldn't have to worry about it crapping the bed on me. Same year also bought my first pied. Ever since I've owned bps pieds were my favorite. Especially a nice high white bought him and I'm still saving for the next big bp morph dream.

Goo Goo Dolls  I was only 13 at the time so don't hold it against me haha Since then I've been to Godsmack twice, Ozzy, Static-X, Slipknot, the Mayhem Festival, Muse, Them Crooked Vultures, Metallica, Lamb of God, and NIN/Jane's Addiction. Like you said, we all have firsts of everything!
First night away from home in a dorm is something I'll always remember too. There's just too many to list!!
-
Ah yes...first night at college. I remember it all too well.

Re: firsts...
my most recent first...being so hungover that i threw up everything i ate in the previous 24 hours.
yes, it was worth it.
-
Haha lol I remember that first
-
im glad i dont remember that first!
i do remember trying to find my way back to my dorm from my first college party. i apparently got lost and somehow walked around the same block 3 or 4 times. there just so happened to be a cop sitting along the road watching me. i vaguely remember him laughing at me when i told him where i lived. which was literally on the other side of the street.

I figure I have had plenty of firsts, now I get to be a part of all my son's firsts. It's like living them all over again but being able to appreciate them more. My son is taking his first air plane trip today with his father to visit for the week. He is already so excited to go to the "airplane port" lol
-
how exciting! how long is goin for?
-
that was supposed to be how long is HE goin for?
-
A week. I'm gonna miss him but it's gonna be nice to have a teeny break since I do this full time 9 months out of the year lol
-
does he go for the summer? i would go crazy. i was in san fransisco for 4 days and from the moment the plane landed all i could think about was my baby boy
-

Yeah this is the first year that he's going for the whole summer. He's gone over multiple times because my ex husband's family is all there, and obviously the first few times it was VERY hard, but I think the more often it's happened and the older he gets it's a little easier. The week I can handle no problem, the whole summer is gonna be tough.
-
im still looking forward to that first :)

I can imagine!! If you're so used to having him around all the time, I bet his absence feels like a big hole after awhile. I hope you make it through okay! And I bet he's going to miss you just as much!! :)

at least the cop was cool about it. i remember being so confused. everything seemed to be in the right place but i just couldnt seem to find the giant building directly beside me

Re: firsts...
My first real pet! Aka, not a goldfish haha, getting my poodle Jake changed everything. Even led to me getting my bps and deciding to be a vet tech. He's also my only big furry baby.
