    My first ball python
We think she's a female but we're pretty inexperienced snake owners. She's kept in a tub setup and loves hanging out with us :) We got her from a nice young couple in the city that just weren't giving her the attention they wanted to. Unfortunately, she only eats live at the moment but we're going to transition her to F/T once she's good and settled in.

She shed today so we took some pictures. Any chance she's some sort of morph or just a normal female? The second picture is more like her colouration; the close up came out too yellow but its a good shot of her light head. Her body seems to have faded patches in the black patterns but I have a hard time with morphs so I don't know what I'm looking for.

Anyway, here's the pictures... we don't have a name for her yet though.

Whoops; broken image links and the forum wouldn't let me edit.

Its a very attractive snake, but from what I can tell from looking it appears to be a normal, or wild type. Even if its not a morph, you still have a beautiful animal! :)

I'm no expert at identifying morphs, so I'll leave that up to the more experienced posters :) but that is an absolutely adorable snake! Love the blushing

Yup, she's a normal, not a morph, but she's still very pretty. I love her colors! I personally think that some normals can be just as beautiful as morphs :)

S/he's a very pretty normal! If you have any breeders in your area they are usually fairly happy to help out a new herper and sex their snake.

I see no morph on her, but she really looks nice. Hmm, I bet she wouldnt be your "only" snake. :) Welcome to the addiction :gj:

Hahaha, welcome indeed :) I can't wait until I move into a bigger apartment and can have more BPs!

Thanks for all the nice comments everyone! We have decided to name her Lumen. I was happy with her yesterday; she ate two adult mice, one after the other. I would have tried a small rat but the only ones at the pet store are HUGE, sadly, so I guess I'll have to keep feeding mice until I can get her to take F/T. Anyone happen to know any good Canadian suppliers for F/T? Kind of off topic for a pictures thread but I don't want to clog up the forums with more :)
