Should I feed a size bigger? (Video) And my 1st BP update.
She's currently eating 2 hopper mice a week. I wanted folks opinion on if I should move a size up or not. I don't know her current weight.

Aside from that I wanted to post this to show you all how my first BP's been doing. Just had her second successful full shed while in my possession. And is eating like a beast.

I know kinda cliché, a feeding video and all, but hey, though I'd give it a shot.

P.S. I hope this is the right place to post videos. (if not, Admin please move)

May I make a suggestion? I cant tell from the video, but if you havent yet, I would suggest melting the edges of the plastic on that hide
Just so she doesnt have any chance of hurting herself :)

otherwise she looks great! Hope she grows big and strong lol!

Noted. I was kinda thinking the same thing. I did burn it down, but the edges are a bit pronounced.

Would a rat pup be the same size as an adult mouse?

I don't have a scale yet. So not sure of her weight.

I have maybe 4 more hoppers. After that I'll move her up a size. And then move to rats all together in the future.

You could probably even go up to a weaned rat. From the looks of the video, the hopper is just about the size of your BP's neck--the smallest part of her body (except the tail).

I like my snakes to have a noticeable lump in their bellies. I have a couple other species that will take prey that is twice the girth of their thickest body portion. With my balls, I shoot for about 125-150% of the thickest body portion.
