Good Blood Breeders???

I'm looking into getting a blood or short tailed python. But for the life of me, I can not find good breeders. I know there are some, but I am just not familiar with any. Whether they deal with bloods specifically or they have some bloods available, who are they.

Help point me in the right direction.

You can pay top dollar for a nice snake from some of the big dogs, but often your buying the name.

The little guys have nice stuff too!

Good thread. I've got 3 bloods right now and find myself in a similar predicament. Who are the "little guys" breeding these beautiful bloods? I look on KS and see a lot of random great looking bloods, and wonder where these big time reptile distributors getting these bloods from?

With my next purchase I'm looking to avoid buying from a big dog per say, in which I feel you are for sure paying extra for the name. I've made a cpl pick-ups with lineage and saved a ton of money by avoiding buying from a big time breeder.

If anyone knows of any SST "black blood" breeders I would love to hear of them. I'm looking for extreme blacks and I am willing to pay an appropriate price. Thanks for any leads!

I wanted to start getting into blood pythons and it's difficult to find anyone with any, or to find a general price-range. I guess they vary so much there's no definite price for any blood. :/

I'm saving a bunch of these links. Thanks guys. I plan on picking up my first bloods this summer at an expo, but I'll keep my eye on these breeders.

Jeff Hartwig used to have a lot of great looking Sumatrans. I'm not sure if he's still producing them.

I'm kind of happy i started this thread. I have checked out every link and will be calling those at VPI. Thanks everyone, and if anyone knows anymore let us know. There is obviously more people out there looking for some bloods. I tried pming 2kdime regarding his pair of bloods but have not heard anything back.

I got my black from Jordan Botto and I couldn't be happier. He posts on here as rodentslayer, but he hasn't been active in a while. I'll PM you. Below is a picture of my black from him at 15 months, and he'll only get better.

I talked to Keith from the bloodline he's going to have some hatching in June. I also talked to Tracy from vpi and she's going to send me some pics of some bloods. I always try to be patient while doing my research and get to know the breeders. They'll be more interested in helping you find the best snake for the right price. :D:snake:

I'm sure I'm leaving a few Blood Brothers, yet it helps when looking for specific snake to track down the right person:salute:

I was a little skeptical about Kingsnake.com but I actually had a great experience with a guy named Dave Samaroo. My girl got here healthy and hasn't had a problem in the 2 months I've had her. She didn't arrive in time, almost 7 hours late, and Dave was clearly upset. He tried a new company for the first time hoping to get her to me early (I told him I worked nights and he tried getting her to me in the late morning to hook me up.) When I told him the snake was late he immediately e-mailed the shipping company to find out what was wrong and e-mailed me back right away. I got her that night in good condition, with heat pads to keep her warm. She settled in QUICK! As far as I know, Dave has another male left. I e-mailed him recently with an update on her and he gave me a few more tips and said he had recently dropped his prices on the last male. He's also hoping to hatch another clutch around August. I was pretty damn happy with Dave and I imagine all of his customers are.

You took my response. Jeff is definitely the man to go to if you want a Black Blood. He is still breeding them.
