    BPs breeding after ovulation?
Do BPs continue to lock after the female has ovulated?

Hope that is the reason my girls are not letting my boy play. I missed both ovoilations I think.

Just because a female is refusing doesnt mean she has ovulated.

She may just be done and knows she aint gonna go, has ovulated already, or plans to, etc etc

I have heard of males locking up with girls after they have ovulated as well as girls eating after ovulating.

I had a female that continued to lock up even after ovulation last year. I suppose it was recreational. :P

I thought my female had ovulated as she has a definite bulge, however my little black pastel has continued locking with her, so not too sure at what stage she is at..the little guy is quite forceful to the extent that h ehas even locked with another definite male lol! maybe he has just refused to accept she doesnt want too

It seemed like my female doubled in size after her 3rd breeding with my spider and they're still locking like crazy.

Building is often mistaken for ovulation. Best thing to do is count down 30 days after next shed and look for eggs, cant hurt. After ovulation most females will stay on the warm side coiled up.

I've read & had a couple people tell me that if your not sure keep putting the male in until you see eggs

im having this same issue, my females SERIOUSLY BULDGING and its not an ovy, because she's been really big for a little more than a week.
and just last night thru today she has locked up again with the same male.

so maybe they do still lock up after ovulation

Mine locked again. But I don't think it was a real one since mine usually stay locked for at least a full day, and now it's only a few hours.

I had a female lock the day before she laid. Then again she never even had her pre lay shed

I'm a newbee to the breeding thing, and was caught in the building thing. I too mistook building for ovulation, i waited for her to shed which she did and waited for her to lay eggs which she didn't. So I put the male in there, and so the locks begin, over and over again. Amazing!!! I'm impressed and feel really idk what to say. I learned allot, I read every sight I can and every book I can. I learn something new everyday. I love my balls they are fascinating to me. I love you guys on here help us not so knowledged out :gj:
