She is special because she is a SPECIAL.....

Here's the sequel to the thread I posted earlier with some pictures of our newest addition. In that thread I asked for opinions of her but at the time I'm posting this no one has guessed correctly what she is.

She was produced by Marshall Van Thorre of NoCo Reptiles and is from his line of "Specials". Marshall has produced several Crystals and Super Specials from his line and with his permission I'm posting pics of both. I'm also posting a pic of a Lesser x Special along side a Lesser x Mojave. The Lesser x Special has some yellow tinting that the Lesser x Mojave does not.

i guess this is one of those things where you really have to trust the breeder. i cant tell the difference. good thing the majority of people in this hobby are good people and are trustworthy. good luck with her, im sure you have some plans already.

Wow wow wow! I think I just added a new "must have" to my list of future breeding projects!

But let me see if I have this straight:

special x mojave = crystal (definitely NOT a white snake)
special x special = super special (definitely NOT a white snake)
special x lesser = ....white snake??? Well, almost white...I do see the yellow tinting, and I think I can see a faint suggestion of pattern as well...but it's awfully close to our common idea of a lucy

How exciting to see what other amazing combinations can be made with the special!

Like most of you my favorite combo that's been produced from this line so far is the Super Special. When I saw it, I couldn't help myself. I just started dialing Marshall's number and before I knew it I had a little piece of the project.

I can hardly wait to see the combos that will be produced in the next couple of years.
