New Local Pick up! Mojave or Butter???
Hey! So i found a local pickup for this beautiful snake. They told me they were told that it was a boy from one person and the other told me it is a girl, i'm not sure on the sex, if someone would be able to help me out on that. Also i'm not sure what kind of breed this is, if you could help me out on that as well that be great!

I was also told that she is going to shed soon. Im guessing she's a bit dark from that.

    Here are the photos!

    Hi,

He's worth dinking with but I don't think he is a mojave and he certainly isn't a butter I'm afraid.

What does his belly look like?

I dont believe it is a normal, maybe the camera is just not good enough, the colours are just too light and he/she has blushing on his/her back.

Can you take some pictures outside, or in the sunlight through a window? I'd almost put money on it being a normal based off of those pictures.

I would say it is a very nice and light normal as well.:gj:

i think the patterns are killer and its most likely a normal but you never know.
    better pictures, better observations

Looks like a gorgeous normal :) My normal has blushing also, they come in so many shades, but that definitely looks like a normal, she sure is beautiful though :)

There are youtube videos on how to "pop" ball pythons, but if you're not comfortable doing it yourself you could bring him/her to the vet or a breeder to get probed or popped.

I hope you didn't pay a Mojo/Butter price on what is likely a male normal...

At first I thought normal for sure but after looking a little bit longer I noticed how blushed the head looks and the light pattern. Maybe it could be a very subtle Fire???

Not a fire or pastel. Not any morph I am familiar with, but as was stated earlier, vry much worth dinking with.

Just to define normal for someone convinced they have somthing "not normal"

normal=A wild type unproven to be anything genetic.
Its entirly possible thats somthing different, but youll need to breed and prove it out before you can call it anything, but a normal or a dinker :gj:

I love the pattern on him/her, but I would definitely say he/she is a normal or dinker project. Normals come in so many colors, patterns, and shades, you'd be surprised that some are "just" normals. I have a normal het pied female who I could put next to a pastel and you would think they were the same morph. Beautiful snake either way! If you are new to balls I would suggest taking it to your local herp vet and having it sexed there. If your're really brazen, you can try to teach yourself on youtube. I just wouldn't try to pop or probe the little fellow until he/she has settled in for at least a week, then after that not more than once every few days because they can become injured. Once you get the hang of it though, it will be much easier for you. :gj:

from those pics definitely not mojave or butter...
probably a mojave sibling . i produced some mojaves the other year and some of the siblings looked like they were wanna -be mojaves .

that being said very nice looking normal

Even pictures with better lighting isn't going to make that snake a morph. It is an awesome pattern and is a nice light normal. If it's a female it's definitely a great addition! I also hope you didn't pay mojave/butter price.
