New Snake and something different

Hey there! First off this first photo is not mine, it was taken by Lisa and Adam over at The Herp Vault. This is a normal female I just picked up from them, and I think she's totally gorgeous! She's somewhere near 700 grams and has eaten for me twice already. I'm hoping there might be something genetic going on here, but time will tell! I'll get some more shots of her when she's better settled in.

Next up is a quick shot of one of my Anthill (or Pygmy) Pythons, Anterasia perthensis. Believe it or not she's breeding this year at a healthy breeding weight of 150 grams, haha. It astounds me that such a small snake could be reproductive, but hey, they are the smallest specie of python in the world! I love their brick red color and amazing metallic orange eyes. Both are fine looking animals.

Gorgeous female normal, I love the stripe that she has going on! The other snake is just adorable, very pretty too!

That's a normal I'd definitely pick up, without a doubt. I'd love to mess with her gentics and see what I get out of her. I hope that if and when she prioduces for you, you get a super. So don't forget about us, who commented how beautiful she was, feel free to send us a super or two lol.

That mini python is way cool! I can't believe 150 grams is breeding weight! That's a tiny little snake! The eyes are stunning!

Haha, I won't forget you guys :P. It was the combo of head spot, green eyes, bright color, and reduced pattern that attracted me to her. None of those things on their own would have done it. Thanks for the encouragement :D!

Killer stripes on your normal and that mini is incredible for such a small package, lol! I dig on the Aussie pythons, the womas and anthills and Children's and blackheads and...hahahahaha! Nice looking snakes and I'd love to see what you get out of your normal with her patterning. Thanks for sharing!

It does look like the Pro Exotics "wild stripe". And I've seen Outback selling "brown stripe" imports like that. Good luck!

Thanks! I'm a big fan of Aussie snakes as well--maybe one day I'll get into some of the bigger snakes like Blackheads and Olives.

Yeah--hopefully she'll be up to size for 2012 and I can see if anything is going on! I'm not really sure what I'm hoping for though, haha.
