New from Northern Florida (Starke)

I live in Starke Florida but I am a MICHIGAN GIRL all the way, born & raised. GO BLUE BABY! Sorry...was having a moment! lol. I am 24 & work at a Group Home for MR Adults. I am a firm believer in Autisim is just another way of expressing yourself and NOT a dissability! (LYNB!!!!)

I have a Normal Ball named Loki, unknown sex. Haven't gotten him sexed yet. I have had him since Feb 11th. He will be a he till i have him sexed. lol. sorry I had to say it. lol. Anyways, He is a rescue from someone who had him in a 20 gal tank, no heat source, no hides, only a water bucket (folgers can) and pine bedding. So once she left her husband said husband gave me Loki & Chin Chin Pu PimpChillia who of course my b.f. named. ugh. stupid name. lol. Our Chinchillia.

I am one of those people who knew nothing about snakes before getting one, but, I couldn't let him die! So I took him on and here I am a month or so latter with a pretty healthy happyish snake. (hes pissed cuz i changed his tank around) Thanks everyone for the info and all the info you will provide!

Welcome to the site! I was working with 5 women with mental disabilities for the last 2.5 years. I'm burnt out, and can't agree more that it takes a special kind of person to do that kind of work. I hope one day the state and people in general will realize how hard that kind of work is physically and emotionally. I commend you for your hard work! :gj:
