Animal Plastics Incubator
I recently received my AP Incubator http://www.animalplastics.com/ and hooked it up to a Herpstat Thermostat http://www.spyderrobotics.com/ I placed five thermometers including one Nist Certified FRIO-Temp Enviro-Safe™ Incubator Thermometer http://www.coleparmer.com/catalog/pr...0807759&pfx=EW
I must say I’m very impressed with this incubator as the Herpstat maintained the temperature inside with minus 1-degree fluctuation and was uniform throughout.
The incubator can hold 16 Sterilite 1717 boxes that can be purchased at WalMart http://www.walmart.com/ip/Sterilite-...-of-6/11014790.

Nice! Keep us informed on how your clutches turn out with it! :gj:
Re: Animal Plastics Incubator
It looks very nice! Good luck with it!
Re: Animal Plastics Incubator
In comparison to other incubators on the market and not wanting to convert an old refrigerator into an incubator or build one myself it was worth it to me otherwise I wouldn’t have purchased it. It’s a great design, circulates the air without hot spots, looks good and does what it’s supposed to do plus I can monitor the eggs without opening the door.
I looked for some feedback on this incubator and couldn't find any so I figured for anyone looking for more information on this unit, here you go. :)
Re: Animal Plastics Incubator
Do you have any pictures of yours set up. Ap isn't very good at updating there website an all they have is the front page info on it
Re: Animal Plastics Incubator
I have this incubator and I'm impressed overall with the form and function. so far I have incubated 37 clutches this season and I could not be more pleased with the results. I have ultramel x pewter eggs, pin het ghost x ultra, and ultra x axanthic eggs not to mention the others I'm also worried about in terms of success rate. The ap incubator is doing it's job well. I hope This helps out.

I have this incubator and I love it. I will be ordering another one for next season.
Not much of a photo, but at least it shows the inside.

I agree this incubator is does a great job incubating eggs, I have zero complaints and plan on getting more of these incubators as needed.

Re: Animal Plastics Incubator
Once you work with Celsius enough, it's not a problem. I have an iPhone app that I like which will convert a ton of different measurements, Convertbot.
That said, Cole Parmer has other lab grade thermometers that I'm sure are available in Fahrenheit.

Sorry I missed this but to answer your question it's all XPVC and holds temps perfectly for me.
