humidity problem....

ok my bp is starten his shedding stage and ive been fighting the humidity problem all along.. during the day his under house temp is 92 and the cold side reaches 86 max.. night the undr house temp stays at 92 bc of uth and the cold side goes to 80-82.. i use aspen and have a large water bowl shown in my pics.. the humidity keeps goin down to high 30's to 50% and that is NOT ideal for a bp in shedding process.. idk what to do.. ive resorted in past to hang hot damp wash clothes from the top and that helped but the humidity jumps all the time.. idk what to do... some1 please help

Make him a humid hide! He'll know when he needs higher humidity and will go in it. I believe there are some great threads on here with instructions.

Sphagnum moss works really well too to up the humidity. Can be found at almost any petstore or reptile store...and online.

You could also move your ball to a tub. My humidity stays at 65 all day long :)

Now that moss.. do i put it in juss one house?? Or in a whole section of the tank??

Oh btw.. he shed last night n all came off in one shed.. the tail fell apart on the shed when i was stretchen it out.. and also idk if he "went" lol or regerjatated or w.e u spell iy but it was 2 piles and it was brown almost like cat or vry small dog dumps lol.. first time he went it was white n got told that was fine..

White is a urate.
Brown and stinky is a doodoo.

White clumps is the urate, brown is their poop

No worries! I vote for a tub too. Anyone with humidity issues should just use a tub. Your snake will be happier, less stressed, and your husbandry will be that much easier to take care of. Good luck!

tub isn't necessary. I have a tank but I made a pelxi lid for it. the screen lid is the main issue.

I 3rd on the tubs..

I live in Arizona so humidity can get super low. I had shedding problems all the time with my first two BPs. Now I have them and my other BPs in tubs and the humidity stays where I want it all day and night. I use tubs for all my snakes who need higher humidity levels 60% and above.

my tank is staying around 7o% now.. i syran wrapped the top along wit tin foil for heat and humidity.. will post new pics of his rearranged pad lol and he loves it

just make sure you leave a little area open. they do need to breath.
