ID this snake please

Id this snake .. it is in louisiana .....

Hmmm I had one of those in my backyard a few months ago. Its not a Cottonmouth (thank god) ermm I think I came up with Yellow Bellied Water Snake for me- not 100% positive ID though. Hope this helps!

Either way it's darn cute :D One in my yard got away before I got a hand on it.

Possibly a Mississippi Green Water snake. Pretty cool looking though!

Don't think it a rat snake, the scales are to keeled.

Yellow bellied water snake was correct. Nerodia erythrogaster

ha I was thinking nerodia. I have only seen the banded nerodia faciata.

Its a black rat snake 99% sure
