What does every one do for a living?

So I was just wondering what every does for a job. Ill start. Im a DJ at a gentleman's club

I work in a guardhouse as a Loss Prevention associate. I am a little less than a year from earning my Bachelor's degree in computer programming, so hope to transfer to the IT department then.

I spent 20 years in the medical field and now I am in demolitions as a blaster assistant. I am working towards getting my blasters license from the ATF and FBI.

I've spent 20 years in the military and am about to retire...i.e...be unemployed...:(

I'm an illustrator/freelance artist. Hoping to soon branch out into some graphic design, hoping to get to design some logos in the future ;) maybe snake related???

I'm a dinosaur.

I own and operate a small business for Ohare Airport Parking called Park N Jet!

I'm an electronics technician in the Navy. Not a bad job but I'm looking to finish up my degree so I can try to line up a decent job and get out. It's a pain trying to breed BP's on a sea duty schedule.

I am a homemaker. I stay at home and do the cleaning, cooking, and laundry and take care of my snakes of course. :)

I work for the electrical company, keeping the lights on :P

I work for a contractor in chemical plants. I started out sandblasting and painting, now moved into fireproofing, but most of my days are spent watching other people work now that I've made it into supervision.

It's not really my main source of income (my parents are lol!) but I work at a (NON animal-selling) pet store.

I work full-time as a registered nurse in a hospital. I am a "float nurse" and am cross-trained to work in eight different departments, which keeps things interesting. I really like my job!

I work at MSFT, Xbox Live department to be specific. :)

Some interesting jobs up in here.

I'm an Project Revenue Analyst for a Software company. Basically I'm an accountant. LOL

I'm a substation designer/project manager for the largest utility distributor in north america.

I was a mechanic for almost 15 years..............now I break into cars and houses (really anything with a lock) for a living. Pop-A-Lock:D

I am a 911 dispatcher for my local police, fire and EMS. I am a municipal employee. I handle all the emergency 911 calls, business line calls for the town, 911 calls transferred from State Police, dispatch police, fire, and EMS apparatus, and our center is also Bristol County Control. For Bristol County Control we pretty much take over large incidents such as large fires, explosions, HAZMAT, MA Decon, State searches, and Emergency Management incidents. The towns call me, and I dispatch out other towns to their scene. It gets pretty hectic, especially when we handle our calls along with anything big in Bristol County, but I love my job and I'm really lucky I have it.

The job market is brutal right now...even with 20+ years of military experience and a high level clearance...ur off to a good start getting your degree though...friendly advise...start networking now, finish your degree, if you have a clearance make sure it's updated, attend a TAPs class (Transition Assistance Program) or the Navy's equivalent...and network more, more, more...good luck...:gj:

commercial truck driver , working on degree in marine biology .

On Call weigh master at quarries that sell Aggregates and Asphalt. I cover 5 other weigh masters, whenever they take a day off I come in :)

Veterinary technician - well technically veterinary assistant since I'm not certified yet. Working on it tho & hopefully be finished one day. Wish they didn't change the rules that you can only take the test if you graduated from accredited vet tech school. After 25 years in the field, people should be able to sit for the test!

Air-Traffic-Controller

Marketing Degree. Now outside sales for RJ Reynolds Tobbacco. (I know.. big tobbacco, please don't hate me.)

With the job market the way it is, being a recent grad it was one of the only companies (200+ resumes later) that didn't care about experience. Figure do it for a year or 2, get my experience on the resume and bounce! To do/sell something that I am actually passionate about. I don't even smoke!

i work in best buy mobile selling (team lead) the new cell phones (just waiting for the playstation phone to come out) but with in this year looking to make a car run not on gas but only HHO (simply terms using water), and building home made solar panels for a $100 a peace. it help out since the Fed is about to do a QE3, so if i lose my job i'll something as a backup.

I am an employee assistance representative for Chrysler. I am about 6 classes a way to a bachelors in business management.

I'm inside sales - AKA. Being a self-absorbed, overly whiney and overpaid manager's (insert blank) while, she plays harry potter video games.

I'm a hacker. :) Except professionally we refer to it as Computer Security Researcher. I do research on novel ways to break into computer systems (currently my main focus is in the area of smart phones). I speak at conferences around the world presenting this research (BlackHat, DefCon, etc to name a couple); new attack techniques, flaws in systems, etc. The other part of my job is developing analysis tools for making my job easier, as well as working on a scanning engine to detect software with malicious intents on Android/iPhone, etc.

I work for the city as a Senior Animal Care Technician at the Bureau of Animal Regulation and Control.

Student at the moment, beginning the years of schooling to become a veterinarian... and of course I'm the caretaker of a spoiled BP :)

I play with toys all day.

I'm a Zookeeper

...I'm a student. :P Majoring in Biology with a focus in microbiology. So far at least.

I'm a full time student double majoring in Accounting and Japanese.

I work in an animal hospital :) Actually I go between the three that are in the company. I love my job and working with the animals

I'm an On-Air Engineer for a radio station(largest frequency west of the Miss) KPFK 90.7fm and kpfk.org.

I would love to get into Computer Programming/Science and Computer Security Research in the future.

i'm the head brewer at southern tier brewing company.

where do you go to school to learn this? thats awesome

I'm going through an electrical apprenticeship. mostly do commercial/industrial. After i get my journeyman's card I plan on specializing in medium voltage terminations and alternative energy.

Very interesting to see all the diversity with the real life jobs/careers. I'm the Vice President of a tech company (ISP/ITSP) here in Cleveland. I'm also an aspiring author. For all the people in the military, I'm a former Navy CT (crypto tech)

Graduated in Dec with a BFA in Studio Glass- meaning I learned Advanced Glassblowing and Kiln glass. Basically I got to play with molten glass and chemicals in 2300 degree flames to make killer art with it.
Naturally, that degree means nothing with this economy. However, working in universities for 4 years does ;)

Currently Jobhunting and had a great interview yesterday praying I get the job :please::please::please::please::please: I'll know in 2 weeks!

Also working on 2D Art right now and selling prints while I'm a live-in-maid for my semi-retired parents. My avatar pic is my most recent piece. :D
