Now is a bad time to find things, most people are sold out or almost sold out.

I would wait until the Summer and look again.

My 2010 lesser female was 450 but she was also solidly over 400 grams. I wouldn't shop on price alone. Some animals are going to be superior if the breeders are trying to breed superior animals instead of whatever they have. You get what you pay for and an investment should be well thought out.

A lot of times (from what I have experienced so far..) is if you call the breeder and have a good conversation with he or she, if they have the time, a lot of times they will take a bit off and include the shipping. It never hurts after getting to know the person/business just to ask how firm they are on their prices.

Some are as is, and some are willing to work with you. A lot of breeder's can also do payment plans for you. If you stick with the big timer's you are:

    1. Guaranteed top quality animals
    2. A pleasant and hassle free buying experience
    3. A chance to B.S. with someone about snakes (who usually knows a hell ova lot more then I do so u get a chance to possibly learn a thing or two)
    4. Possible flexibility and/or payment plans.
    5. Chance to build a relationship with them for future purchases.

Hope this helps! And like I said above.. none of these are guarantees, but every experience I have had with the big dog's have been an extremely positive experience. Never hurts to ask and Good luck!

I have found over the years that it is best to put snake money aside and wait for the right deal to come along. I'm not saying the cheapest but the right animal for what you feel is a fair price. Snakes are no different that any other commodity. If you have to have it right now you are usually going to pay more for it. Seeing that you have a few snakes on your "to buy list" it should be easier to find something you are looking for if you keep your eyes open.

Those are some of the bigger guys that I can think of off hand. And if you just google "Ball Python Sales" (which I am sure you already have) there are TONS and TONS of breeders out there. Have fun and Good luck!

I haven't but all I can say is that not all morphs are the same. Some bees look great and some look brown. Some pastels have tons of blushing and keep their color and some don't. Some pins have a great pattern and color and some don't. There is something to be said about someone that actually pays attention to that stuff and breeds good looking animals to good looking animals. I'm sure you would agree that there are different qualities of any given morph :) A good snake is where you find it but most breeders will vary price on the same morph based on the quality of its color, pattern, and size. The more of all three of those the snake has the more you will pay for it.

    B

dont just buy a morph cuz that morph is what you want. wait til you see the animal of a specific morph that just blows ur mind. you wont regret spending the money afterwards. i would suggest kingsnake or faunaclassifieds to start your search
