poll: what is you favorite reptile

I want to hear everyones favorite herp if its not in the list than comment below.

With snakes i love Clown Ball pythons,but my overall favorite reptile is hand down Black and White Argentine Tegu's, i just love them so much,coolest reptiles ever IMO,I kept one before but had to rehome (Sudden move) But i am settled down and will be getting another late spring/Early summer from Varnyard,already got mines reserved OHHH YEAA :D!

Ball pythons all the way. They always have been but I do love some others including angolans. Never seen or touched one in real life yet but I find them awsome anyway. I just got a woma and its very cool.

I am fond of iguanas!

Ball pythons are my first love. And the first time I saw my son hold one, he lit up like it was Christmas. They have a special spot in my heart :)

I love ball pythons... Great personalities and so many cool colors and patterns to chose from. What's not to love.....

Dont get me wrong I love my Ball Pythons but my FAVORITE has to be my Hogg Island boa ..One word "PERSONALITY"

Eastern indigo snakes!

I voted ball python but if Uromastyx was a choice I would have picked them.

I love ball pythons! I am sooooo addicted to them.

For me it's a tied between ball pythons and bearded dragons... I love the personality my dragons have... and hands down my favorite lizard but you can't beat ball pythons either... :gj:

Although I love ball pythons the most, probably because I have one, I also enjoy woma pythons and crested geckos.

Great list when you look at it. So many great examples and I am still learning about new ones. I voted Carpet Python because they are so interesting to me but ball pythons are what allowed me to get into reptiles and there are so many beautiful morphs and they are so well tempered.

Other tops: Brazilian Rainbow Boa, RTB, Biak, Olive, Scrub, Eastern Indigo, Blood, Dwarf Retic, basically the whole list again!

Everyone should get a chance to handle a Bredli. :)

Ball pythons. Nothing is cuter than a ball python hatchling pipping from the egg.

I think I find Anacondas and King Cobras to be the most majestic. I doubt I will ever get into keeping either one, though. As far as beauty, handling and personality goes, it has become a real close toss up between my Bloods/Short Tails and Boas...

In my life I have kept chameleons, dragons, plated lizard, collared lizard, king snake,corns, milks, agamas,exc. But nothing has moved me like my ball pythons. There is truly something for everyone with ball no matter what you like

Boelens python are on top of my dream list. In my collection it is currently my black tailed cribo.

Out of my current snakes, it's my dumeril's boa. I think the extent that they're chill with anything on top of being a larger, muscular animal, I like them the best. I can literally pose her in certain positions to take pictures, like a clay model. LOL

But I obviously like all the species I own the best comparitively, or I wouldn't be owning them! I just have Russian rat snakes left to check off in my collection this summer.

Bullsnake. This could be included with the gopher snake entry, though.

Garter snake should also be on the list. They are my second favorite.

How can you pick just one type, variety is the spice of life.

Rat Snakes.

This is sorely lacking in details. Excluding birds there are roughly 17000 species of reptiles and amphibians. This list only includes snakes.

Additionally, favorite in what aspect? Venomous snakes is the inland taipan (the basis of my profile's name), in snakes it's pretty much just ball pythons due to their insane level of genetic diversity. In lizards I am torn, but would likely say the mangrove monitor for monitors, and black and white tegu for new world lizards. I don't have a favorite on turtles, crocs/alligators, or amphibians. My favorite bird is the golden eagle (for falconry purposes).

My favourite reptile isn't on that list. Testudo Graeca ibera or Mediterranean spur thigh tortoise. My 30 year old or so male is why. Since he regularly beats up every cat that enters his garden as well as stomping on my feet, I really can't complain - prevents cats crapping and does the weeding in my garden as well as having mad ninja hiding skills - He managed to use a flat bit of pine bark on the patio to totally vanish, even after being within 10cm of him I seriously could not see him, it took me putting my hand on him to get just to be able to get a outline.

That's why I believe in the Teenage Ninja mutant turtles, I keep a non mutated version.

My favorites are flying tree snakes and komodo dragon.

Its no surprise ball python wins since this is a bp forum. But I still love boas the best, second is bps and corns, third would be kingsnakes.

Ball python as far as for a pet goes, black rat snakes and northern brown water snakes for things that I can catch

(Utahraptors are really cool too, but the poll did not include extinct reptiles :)
