    4000g female
    Hi!
I bought this 4000g female about a week ago and she is now in shed. I contacted the breeder i bought her from and he said that she probably had been locked up with a BEL male before i bought her. So the question is if this is the pre lay shed? What do you think?

Nice snake! Palpate her...See if you feel eggs.

Is is strange that someone would sell a snake that could be gravid with all morphs? Not something I would do...Good luck though! That would be sweet!

how long is she? If you look at the the chart prepared by dan and colette sutherland (TSK) your looks to be too heavy at 4000 gm according to their chart she should be about 74-76 inches. At least if I have interpolated it correctly 4000 is off the scale.

    You would get

    50% Mojave
    50% Lesser

A super (BEL) will always give a morph. The female would have to be either mojave or lesser to give you BELs. You won't get any normals.

She does look pretty big! Good luck with her!

I really hope you're right! I'd love to get some baby mojaves and lessers! She didn't lay any eggs last season so I hope to get a huge clutch! It would be my first clutch ever too so I am super excited! :D

That is a big girl. My pastel is growing fast. I am hoping she becomes one of those big girls. This is her first year breeding and she is sitting at 1700 gs +. She was at less than 1200 in the summer and all I feed her is a 3-4 live mice each week.

That's good to hear! I have a female Bee that only eats mice and I was concerned about getting her up to size.

You should definitely make sure you're ready for eggs in 30 days!
