I'm hoping that I missed her ovulating. She is deep in shed. Her first lock was on 8/7/10 and she has gained 700 grams since. I have another female who just shed as well. Her first lock was 7/20 and she has gained 734 grams. This would be my first clutch:banana: I guess I'll know more in about 30 days.

Could very well be her pre lay shed. She does look rather "tall" and peaked. Have you palpitated? At the point you should definitely be able to feel eggs. What was she bred to?

I'm not sure if I palpitate right yet. She is also a little cranky and hard to get relaxed. She was bred to my Spider 66% het ghost male. Nothing too exciting, but I would love to add a little spider girl to my collection:)

Good luck to you! I've got a girl that is in the blue ATM also but I think she's going to pull a triple shed like last year. She sheds then about a month layer sheds then sheds again then eggs.

My big normal girl just had her pre-ovulation shed last week, so we're on a similar schedule :) Your girl looks big and gravid. I'm sure this is her pre-ovy shed.

Sorry! I meant pre-lay shed. Yeah, if she's been gravid since August/September, then she's been building long enough now and looking big, so my guess is that this shed is her pre-lay shed. After this one, I'd expect to see eggs in 28 days!

What point did you stop introducing your males or are you still trying to get locks? I'm still learning about breeding so.....

I'm still learning too!

Her first lock was on 8/7. She has locked with my Spider 5 times. Her last lock was 2/9. She is now hugging the water bowl like crazy. The last time that she ate was 2/4. After she sheds I will still put my male in with her a few times to be sure. He is a little stud muffin, so If he does not lock within a few intro's, I'll stop pairing.
