Gotta love the Honda D series motors!
Trying to kill a D15 Honda motor...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1jXs...layer_embedded
They replaced the oil with WATER and pegged the rev limiter! Crazy!!! It survived for a long time too.
I miss my '95 D16z. It survived diesel fuel, it ran with no coolant for 5 or 6 miles overheated, and a front end collision and was STILL a great motor!! When I swapped it out for a B series the hubbs overhauled it and used it in his car for three more years. We finally sold it in perfect working condition.

I'm all about all motor :D. The first all motor setup I built was fricking amazing!! Started with a JDM B18 w/.25 over-boar, Spoon ITR high compression pistons and Mugen head gasket, Spoon rods, ARP head studs, 270cc injectors w/ STR fuel rail, Spoon thermostat, Exedy stage 1 clutch, custom high flow cat, , skunk 2 valves, Blox intake mani. w/ hondata intake gasket, toda timing belt, CTR crank pulley, cold air intake, Greddy 4-1 stainless header and 2.5" stainless exhaust, skunk2 type r programed ecu, SIR II trans w/ LSD...ummm think that was it, lol. Plus full suspension, all urethane bushings, skunk2 camber kit, & sway bars all around, also upgraded axles.
And YES... I was in charge of the build. The only thing the garage did was build the bottom end. My hubby helped with a lot but it was totally my project.
Ended up running the piss out of it and I blew it up . Its funny now but I was super mad when it happened. Didn't even get a chance to take it to the track. After we disassembled it and diagnosed what happened we found out it detonated and blew up a spark plug. The pieces fell into the piston and destroyed a cylinder. The shop also riped us off, internal parts were installed improperly, not to spec and the ecu which was supposed to be programed for the set up was garbage and led to the detonation and ignition timing problems.

Defiantly takes skill. Good luck with your projects, keep us posted! What are you working on if you don't mind me asking.

My crew Team AMR currently has all motor crx with a k20 head and k24 bottom end. custom pistons rods, car is gutted, all motor k series eg civic hatch back k series( set up wont be disclosed) 98 gsx fully built top to bottom\tranny\rear\axles etc) numbers cant be released, Evo with motor built top to bottom, big turbo pushing well ill let u guys imagine what it makes. Theres a few more cars but they are strictly money run cars so we dont talk about them. Youd be surprised how many people will go online type in google Team AMR (for a reference) and try and find out what motor set up you have how much power you made this way they can hustle u into running a faster car cause a lot of New York people love to do that. Although it is all apart of the game. You chase its a race. The moment u break tires and the other person leaves and u dont you loose. .The reason i dont disclose what cars weight, motor set up etc is bc we do a lot of street racing and not the kind u see someone speeding light to light. organized money runs. Our cars dont come out unless each side puts up 2k. Yes street racing is very bad so dont think im trying to promote street racing. Every since i was little i was around the bike\car crowd and spend a great deal of time at Raceway Park in Nj. Currently my build is on hold now that i have to go to physical therapy 5 days a week. But in case ur wondering it was a 1g talon with a bushur 2.0 pte 6262 aem ems, kelford 272 intake and exhaust cams, shear intake mani, few other things. My project will hopefully be done sometime next year as long as all goes well with work and physical therapy i sh0uld be at the 1\4 mile in no time. With the 6262 im shooting for 9.30s at 150 ish. when i swap the 6262 out for the 6567 im going to shoot for 8s with no spray.
