    Another freakin' Snow Storm
Woke up yesterday to reports of a dusting of snow for the evening hours. By the time I got to work, they said 1-3 inches of snow. Lunchtime = 2-4. After work they changed again to 3-6 inches of the white stuff. By dinner time it was 3-5 starting around 9-10 pm. Somewhere around 8pm it started and no sooner than the first flake hit the ground, they changed it to 4-7 inches.

Wake up today and they pretty much got it right. Somewhere around 4-7 inches in the area.

But my God, how many times were they going to change their forecast.

Then I go out and the ever loving county road crews decided my side of the street was going to be the side they plow to. So I've got a bunch more snow to shovel.

It's not going to be a good day!

    Haha, you got 4-7?

We barely made two inches here, if that. Most of it actually not snow, its just the sleet. Drove up to baltimore county to pick up a cage last night :D All the road signs sad "Expect snow, plan head" BF laughed when I was like "Expect snow? Plan trip to baltimore!"

We got 5guys, it totally worked out.

    You all suck!!!

    Seriously.

14+ inches here in the past 48 hours that I've had to shovel, and now dig two cars out, not to mention other local reports on wunderground of as high as 18 or 19 inches in the area.

    Stop your whining! :P

I like snow, remind me NOT to move where you live. 14 inches at a time is too much, unless I get to enjoy it infront of the fireplace with a hot chocolate and a boyfriend.

Heh, according to Mainbutter's profile, I live in the same metro area he does, and this is round 2 of big snow for us this year, and it was smaller than the first one. I actually didn't find it to be that bad, but I know the totals varied widely across the metro area. I guess Mainbutter must be in the southwestern portion of the cities; IIRC they got hit the hardest. 14 inches sounds like Bloomington maybe? I'm in the northeast; we got *maybe* 10 or 12 inches, and it barely slowed us down.

People in the DC metro area can't deal with snow in any quantities. I went to college in upstate NY and THEY know how to deal with the snow. They'd better, they get an inch every day haha.

Meh, this is the only time of year FL is bearable; the rest of the time it's like walking through a swampy haze. If it's going to be hot, at least let it be reasonably dry; then your sweat can do its job and evaporate to cool you off. High humidity is just a recipe for suffering. :P

Once you acclimate,it's fine, air conditioning & being in the water solves that problem though :D

We have a high of 80 today, but I'm bummed because it's windy and partly cloudy.. I wanted my first beach day of the year, dang it!!

It's looking pretty sunny right now, but knowing my luck by the time I get dressed, pack up, and get to the beach, it'll be overcast and too windy. I may chance going to lay out in the yard though.

    Hah no kidding!

I'm literally clawing at myself to be able to get out and do some open water fishing.

Ice fishing was fun, but I'm going stir-crazy not being able to chuck crankbaits or cast a fly.

    funny e-mail I received recently...it's a long read but worth it...edited for language... :)

For everyone sick of the snow....read below;)

    Subject: I Love NJ!!

August 15 - Moved to our new home in Jersey. It's so beautiful here. The lake to the north looks so majestic. I can hardly wait to see it snow covered. I'm going to love it here!

October 14 - Jersey is definitely the most beautiful place on earth. The leaves have turned all the colors and shades of red and orange. Went for a ride through the park and saw some deer. They are so graceful. Certainly they are the most wonderful animals on earth. This must be paradise, I LOVE IT HERE!!

November 10 - Deer season will start soon. I can't imagine anyone wanting to kill such a gorgeous animal. Hope it will snow soon. I love it here. Those red and orange leaves have covered my yard. Looks like a magnificent multi-colored carpet. HOW BEAUTIFUL. Raking and cleaning up the yard will be an opportunity for invigorating exercise in the cool crisp air.

November 15 - Ah, more leaves and more exercise.

November 18 - Jesus, still more leaves. Guess it's best to wait until they've all fallen before I rake again.

November 25 - Finally, all of the trees lost their leaves and with today's final raking it's over for this season.

Chiropractor suggested I use a lawn maintenance service next year. Only four blisters became infected. Should probably remember to use gloves.

November 30 - What the #@$%? Where did all of those leaves come from? Had a little wind last night and the lawn is covered again. Oh well, they'll just have to wait until spring.

December 12 - It snowed last night, FINALLY. Woke up to find everything blanketed in white. It looks like a postcard.

We went outside and cleaned the snow off the steps and shoveled the driveway. Had a snowball fight (I won) and when the snowplow came by and we had to shovel the end of the driveway again. What a beautiful place. I Love Jersey !

December 14 - More snow last night, I love it. The snow plow did his trick to the driveway again. I Love it here.

December 19 - More snow again last night. Can't get out of the driveway. Can't get to work. I'm exhausted from shoveling. *&^%ing snowplow.

December 22 - More of that white $#@% fell again last night. As if dealing with the leaves weren't bad enough, now I've got blisters all over my hands from shoveling, must remember to wear gloves. I think the snowplow hides around the corner and waits until I'm finished shoveling the driveway. The a$%#@&.

December 25 - Merry *&$%ing Christmas. More frigging snow. If I ever get my hands on that son-of-a-*&$%^ who drives the snowplow, I swear I'll kill the &*^^%$. Don't know why they don't use more salt on the roads to melt the *$%^ing ice.

December 27 - More white $%#@ last night. Have been inside for three days except for shoveling out the driveway after that plow goes through every time. *%^&ing gloves got wet and then froze on my hands.

Doctor said it was just a mild case of frost bite, disfiguration is probably only temporary. Can't go anywhere, car is stuck in a mountain of white :cens0r::cens0r::cens0r::cens0r:. The weatherman says to expect another 10 inches of the :cens0r::cens0r::cens0r::cens0r: tonight. Do you know how many shovels full of snow 10 inches is?

December 28 - The %^#$ing weatherman was wrong. We got 34 inches of that white $#@&. At this rate it won't melt 'till summer.

The plow got stuck up the road and the ^&%$#@ came to the door and asked to borrow a shovel. After I told him I'd already broken six of them shoveling all the $%#@ he pushed into the driveway, I broke my last one on his $%#@ing head.

January 4 - Finally got out of the house today. Went to the store to get food and on the way back I hit a damned deer that ran in front of my car. Did about $3000 damage. %^$#ing beasts should be killed. Wish the hunters had killed them all last November.

May 3 - Took the car to the garage in town. The thing is rusting out from all the &*%$ing salt they put all over the roads.

May 10 - Moved to Fort Lauderdale Florida. I can't imagine why anyone in their right mind would ever live in that God forsaken state of New Jersey.
