Help Me Decide Please
I finally save enough money to acquire a new snake. I wanna get something that will complement my current collection in terms of maximizing their breeding potential. But I find it really hard to decide which should I get next.
As of the moment, I have the following females that should be more than ready to breed next season: albino, ghost, bumblebee, lemonblast, butter, mojave, a few hets and normals.
And for males: bumblebee and pastel
And here are my choices and my dillema. Should I add a male or add female? Please dont mind the way I grouped them. Im from the Philippines, and prices here are quiet different from there, plus the fact that not all morphs are available in my location. Meaning I just based my idea on what's currently available here that fits my budget.
pewter male or female
lesser male and fire female
POG male or female
pastave male
calico
Thanks in advance. :)

Lesser male, could make some nice combos with the females you have

Re: Help Me Decide Please
I'd go with a Pewter male. :D

I'd go pewter or calico, just because calico is my favorite and I want a pewter
-
So its between the calico and pewter. Both of them are good choices, I love the pewter for its already cool-lookin animal on its own, plus the fact that I may have the chance to hit the odds on producing 3 morph combo when. The calico may not be that spectacular in terms of appearance, but will definitely produces awesome lookin combos when mixed w/ other morphs.
Thanks for the input guys.

i think i'd go pog male :)

Hmm that's a hard one. I say get another male, your pastel male can go, you already have a better pastel breeder-the bee. I'm tempted to say the pastave or the lesser (and of course the fire female) because you have a butter and a mojo and you can work on BELs! Whatever your choice is you can still work on killer bees and super blasts!
But if you wanted to add a new gene, and it looks like calico is what you're debating on. The calico would be pretty cool!

I'd say go with a Black Pewter. I think the Black Pastel makes a better pewter than the Cinnamon. Bred a female Black Pewter with your Bumblebee male and you can make some nice Silver Streaks, Killer bees and Black Bees
Bumblebee X Black Pewter
6.25% Normal
6.25% Black Pastel
12.5% Pastel
6.25% Spider
12.5% Black Pewter
12.5% Bumble Bee
6.25% Black Bee
6.25% Super Pastel
6.25% Killer Bee
12.5% Pastel, Black Pastel, Spider
6.25% Silver Streak
6.25% Silver Streak Bee

Thanks for all the input guys. At least I narrowed it now between the pewter, calico and lesser.

Re: Help Me Decide Please
I'd do the 2 gene pewter over the 1 gene guys.
Sell your pastel male and then breed all your girls to both boys and let the dice roll. You could get some awesome dual sired clutches.

You mentioned in your original post that you will have female hets that will be ready to breed. What are they hets for?
-
If you are really sure about those hets then I will like to prove them out if I were you. Depending on your budget, I reckon a male pewter or calico will cost more than a male lesser at where you are, and I will really love to have a BEL in my collection. :)

pewter, pastave or calico (if it's high white). Get a double morph male to compliment your females. The male pastave can give you a jigsaw, super mojo (white snake with gray head), bel (all white), mojave bee and other combos given your female. If you like white snakes, go for the pastave, if not, go with the pewter. Calicos are awesome if they are high white. Good luck!

The Calico gene does not work this way. A high white Calico can throw high and low white offspring. It works the same as a Spider's white and also a Pied's white. The level of white is not genetic.
To answer your question, I would go with an F and F line Calico.

Thanks for all your input guys. Your suggestions definitely helped me alot :)
