Little Miss Sammy
I picked up my first snake a couple weeks ago! She's a bit thin, I think... she was only being fed pinkies for whatever reason (:(), but otherwise she's my dream snake. She's already eaten bigger meals for me twice, even though it's winter & she's been moved and all, and she sure seems friendly. :D
I've only handled her twice... but here are a few pictures I've gotten.

She's a cute little snake.
What are you currently feeding her?

I fed her two pinkies the first time, then three more last Friday. (she was only getting one a week before :()
I'll be moving up to small-ish adult mice this Friday, I didn't think it'd be good to change her food right away too.

Awesome! Welcome to the site and the addiction!
Holy cow is she thin! I would feed her every 3-4 days if I were you. She's super thin and could stand some bulking up! It's normal for bps to eat in the winter, sometimes they fast, but babies aren't well known for that. If you do decide to feed her every 3-4 days, which I highly recommend, use a prey item that is about the same size as she is around or smaller, not bigger. Since she hasn't been fed well, or ever, before you got her, you don't want to stress her body with large meals. I'm so glad she has eaten for you! If she roams around the cage a lot during the day I suggest putting fake plants in the tank to fill in the extra space and make her feel more secure. Also, you can put some crumpled newspaper in her hide, it's a bit big for her. She's tiny so she needs a little help! I put crumpled newspaper in the hides and tubs of really young bps to fill up the open space.
Good luck with her! :gj:

Ack. :( Poor baby! I'll do my best to fatten her up. I should be getting a scale soon, too, so...
She doesn't roam much, so I figured she feels safe already. Those three middle pics are all from the same night. I can try the newspaper trick, though, thanks!
(BTW, could anyone guess at her age? I never got a chance to find out.)

She's adorable, congrats!

it is hard to tell age becouse she was underfeed maybe a year or 2

Fatten up your lil princess and I bet she'll be lookin more gorgeous than now. Welcome to the addiction! :)

Re: Little Miss Sammy
I'm planning on feeding her tonight, but I think she's going to shed soon. She seems a bit darker and duller today. I hope I'm right, it'll be fun to see. :D
If I make her a humid hide, where should it be? Warm side, cool side, or in the middle somewhere?

Did you get her from a pet store such as petsmart/petco? Most of the time they don't know what size to properly feed their snakes, or they just go the cheap route such as pinkies and only one a week. Don't worry though, if you feed her right, and often for a while, then slow it down to a weekly schedule, she'll do just fine. For reference:
Eva when I first got her

Notice she was also VERY skinny. This was right at the end of July.
Now, over 6 months later she's nice a plump. LOL:

(she'll be going to the doctor anyway, when she gets a little more settled in. there's a good herp vet around here I've heard of. But I think she just needs lots of fattening up.)
And yours is awesome too, btw. :D

She is a beauty. Can't wait to see her fill out.

Congrats on your new addition. I'm sure with bigger and more regular meals she will fatten up right away. It's a great idea to get her into the vet right away. Good thinking! Her hide looks pretty good and as long as you keep up the humidity she will shed just fine. Keep us updated an her progress!
Good luck.

More Sammy!
So, she shed yesterday~. She did great and it all came off nicely, just didn't get any pics of that or the skin. (I did get three decent pics of her with blue eyes :D)

The humidity stayed over 65% the whole time, but she soaked pretty much the whole time anyway. No big deal right, since she got it all off?
Here she is this morning, looking shiny and pretty.

And I decided to feed her two hoppers at once tonight, then give her 7 days to rest this time instead of 5. Here's her fat belly. XD

She's looking loads better and getting even more excited about feeding. I also handled her just after she shed last night to make sure she got it all off, and she seemed more curious than anything. Longest time I've held her so far and since she ate so great today, I guess she's not stressed by being handled sometimes! So I'll try to start handling her a couple times a week too.
She really is the perfect snake. Go Sammy. :gj:

Nice helmet. Motorcycles, karting, other?

snakiepoo
I don't have any pictures this time, just a story. I peeked in tonight and saw Sammy completely freaking out, trying to escape like she never had before... and then I saw the gigantic poo in the corner. :P
She was so (apparently) grossed out by her own poo that she actually made it out of the tank while I was scooping it out. I knew she was a little princess, but I didn't think snakes cared.
(She's calmed down now that the tank is poo-free. And now I can get her tested. :gj:)

She has some nice markings! I'd step up and feed her a hopper or adult mouse. Every 4 days would be good to get her up on weight. I'm feeding my 2010 females every Thursday and Sunday to help put some weight on them. They seem to be putting on weight and bulking up in a healthy manner!

I'm actually feeding her two hoppers every five days. She's handled them just fine so far, and she's gaining weight faster than I thought she would. I still don't have a scale, but she's been bumping her hides around sometimes when she's trying to get in. (She'd rather do that then go in the new ones.)

She's very cute! Congrats on your addition :)

Scale
I'm sure you're all sick of me by now!! Clearly, I need another hobby.
Anyway, got my scale today and learned that the mighty Sammy weighs 113 grams. :D
But that means that the two hoppers I've been feeding her was waaay more than 15% of her weight... she took them and never regurged, so that's okay, right? :(
