I'm Sorry but if u paid alot for that u might have been ripped off because im 99.9% positive that Calico is a Dominant gene meaning u cannot have a het Calico i hope that im wrong cuz that would suck but idk someone correct me if im wrong

Yep, calicos are either dominant or codom (to my knowledge, nobody is quite sure), so no heterozygous form. In any case though, what a beautiful spider! I love the eyes.

he probably just doesn't wobble to an extreme degree. all spiders have some varying degrees of wobble.

who was it?? if they did say "het calico" you need to put their business out in the air so everyone knows not to deal with this person.

Its already bad for a seller to say that his snakes are het for something that are not. But to state that his snakes are het for something that is already proven codom/dominant? Ridiculous. :)

My spider also, has next to no wobble just a touch when he is in feeding mode. He has bad aim though... and freaks himself out when it misses :rolleyes:

He does look good but not a Calider

thats amazing, doesn't surprise me though. I've seen people trying to sell fancy ball pythons as a morph, and for prices that make me laugh:snake:

Same with mine! She barely has any wobble, but she'll bump her head into something (side of her tank, someones' hand, her own tail... :rolleyes: ) and freaks out like "WOAH WHAT WAS THAT?"

Lesson of the day: Research, research, research!!

Anytime you bring home an animal, make sure all your research is done, whether it's a normal bp that you bought for 20 bucks or a rare morph that you spent thousands on! The care and husbandry are obviously VERY important, but if you're spending the EXTRA money to get a certain animal, research what to look for, so you know what you're buying! Ask around to get other people's opinions on what is out there. Obviously no 2 snakes will look alike, but before you get sold something with a "special" name, ask around to find out if it's really that "special" or in this case, even genetically possible!

Yes, it's a pretty snake. But if I spent x-amount of dollars on something, I want to get what I paid for it, regardless of how much it cost!

Im not sure who she was dealing with but it sounds like this local petstore in Phoenix that claims to have het Cinnamons and het Butters that place is a joke they say that their prices are pretty cheap but when i ask how much for a Hog Island Boa they say $300 each when i can go to another local pet shop and get a pair for $300 sorrry i just really hate this place and feel that they might be the culprit in this case.

sorry been busy taking pics with my nikon coolpix p100 <3 it! anyways my guy paid 200 for both boys talking the guy down I wasnt there and he's new to snakes period while i havent been into the morphs in balls however i like them both mine is wobble free here's a couple more pics

Nice spiders and the price was okay too! Calico is a co-dom! Always do your research! I saw a ball ad that said it was Pastel het for Spider! I wrote to him but never got back to me and that was before Christmas! Enjoy your beautiful Spiders! :D

Nice spiders, and you got a good price for them! I wouldn't get any morph advice or genetics lessons from that seller though. Best thing is you are happy with them and it all worked out.

From the photo,thatlooks more like a Spider to me. I could be wrong,but like I said, in the photo it looks like a spider.
